The cat that sets his sights on Sunset. Alouette is a quietly troublesome kit. He is bored with the monotany of playing with his sisters in the nursery and quickly seeks out new forms of entertainment. Typically, he finds this entertainment by playing with Sunsetkit. Alouette is a very fun and likable cat, but he's also very good at manipulating emotions, making some of his actions, but so great. He's quick to use others to achieve his very unclear goals.
Alouette is genuinely very sweet to his parents and though he does lie to them like everyone else and play off their emotions, he would never purposely bring harm to them. He's particularly close to his mother, Lacepetal, which makes it even more of a burden to her that he spends so much time with Sunsetkit. Alouette does feel a bit bad to make her worry but he still feels it's worth it to spend time with Sunset.
Alouette is overall fairly average in the skills he develops as a warrior. He is somewhat good at hunting and somewhat bad at fighting but not drastically so in either skill. What really gives him an edge is his charisma and intelligence. Many cats, Duststar included, think he could be a great negotiator for Brightclan.

- Despite being kind of manipulative and sketchy, Alouette is fiercely protective of his parents.
- He followed Sunsetkit around quietly for a few days before deciding to befriend him.
- Alouette is somewhat clumsy but hides it fairly well, thinking it will impede his cool, casual demeanor. Because of this, he moves somewhat slowly.
- Alouette's name means Lark and is a name Lacepetal picked up long ago when she was still a kittypet. If he didn't reject a warrior name later on, he would have been known as Singinglark.
- Alouette is typically one of the first cats up in the morning, never sleeping for too long.

Kithood
Alouette's life had a somewhat turbulent start. He was born the smallest of the litter, a little too small for comfort. Luckily through the careful care of his mother, Lacepetal, and the medicine cat, Bravefern, Alouette stayed in good health and quickly started gaining weight. When his sisters became big enough to leave the nursery and play during the day, Lacepetal tried to hold him back at first. However, Alouette was not the type of cat to be held back. He grew bored quickly and basically forced his way out of the nursery to play. The more tightly Lace tried to hold him back, the further Alouette ran off, becoming more daring, and getting into more trouble. No matter how risky he tried to be, Alouette felt like he couldn't compare to Sunsetkit, who was getting into trouble every day. Intrigued by Sunset, Alouette started following Sunset around. Soon enough the two were friends and Sunset was the one following Alouette around.

Alouette's Antics
At the end of his apprenticeship, Alouette and Sunset finally form a relationship. It happened after Alouette learned of Sunset's feelings for him, which for as clever as he is, Alouette didn't notice at all previously. The two graduated to warriors side by side, Alouette rejecting an official warrior name in favor of keeping the name his mother gave him. The beginning of his relationship with Sunset was peaceful and lovey dovey. The two were so happy together, and getting into less trouble than as apprentices and kits. That didn't last one. The combination of Alouette's naturally flirty personality and fear of boredom led to him hurting Sunset over and over again. Alouette couldn't seem to figure out why he kept doing this to the cat he loved so much. Though he'd never show it to others, Alouette began to resent himself. He'd become nothing like the cat he'd dreamt of being as a kit. He ended his relationship with Sunset a few times, for Sunset's sake more than anything. However, no matter how mmany times they split up, they inevitably got back together. Alouette couldn't understand how his life had become so complicated.
The Dramatic End

Best friend and partner in crime, Sunset is Alouette's only true friend and knows a fair amount of the feelings he doesn't share with others. It may bloom into something more in the future?
Alouette has a general dislike for her, though it isn't outright hatred. She is as scheming if not moreso than him and he isn't a fan of that.
Honestly, Alouette doesn't feel too negatively or positively about her. She clearly doesn't think or scheme like the other two in the litter, she's just happy to live her normal Brightclan life. She does try to hang out with Alouette and Sunset sometimes and he isn't the biggest fan of that, but she's mostly harmless.
Her presence is an uncomfortable one in Alouette's life. She's a lot older than him so she's almost more like a second mother than a sister. She's also sharp-witted and sees right through his antics so she thwarted a plan or two of his. Despite that, Alouette can't feel too negatively about her since he can tell just how much she cares about their parents. Seeing her flirt with an abundance of cats also might be the reason that Alouette flirts with a lot of cats later in life.
Besides Sunset, she's probably the cat Alouette cares most about in this world. He loves his mother and appreciates the amount she cares for him and his sisters, even if he causes her a little more worry than necessary. He does want to become a good warrior to make her proud, but he acts like he doesn't care about that.
Alouette cares immensely about his father, but does think he's a little too relaxed and lets Lacepetal worry too much.
