Character

Hunter is a laid back, day dreamy, creative type of tom cat. He is very honest, down-to-earth, and passive. Hunter is also very loyal and always willing to help out. He is easily annoyed and can be painfully blunt at times. Thinks he's good with the ladies, but they'd beg to differ.

History

Yay, more 2015-ish history probably taken from Wikipedia or smthn :V Hunter originally represented his region of the Overmountain Territory, the territory to the west of the Appalachian Mountains. Settlers were attracted to this area, so England had to make the Proclamation line in trying to keep peaceful terms with the Native Americans. The settlers that ignored this formed the Watauga Settlements in modern East Tennessee. One of his first leaders was James Robertson, who Hunter looked up to as a father figure of sorts. Next, the Cumberland Settlements around present-day Nashville were formed. His official name at this time was still the Watauga Settlements, but he represented both areas and commuted between them at times. After the Revolutionary War, unhappy with North Carolina's leadership, Hunter tried to become his own state: the State of Franklin, but it didn't work out. On June 1, 1796, Hunter became the 16th state, "Tennessee", his name being derived from Tanase, a Cherokee capital. Over the years, he has become known for producing volunteering patriots for many wars, earning him the nickname of "The Volunteer State". During the Civil War, his state was quite the battlefield, but he did manage to clean up nicely afterwards.
