The Fishing Village
Sapphira was born and grew up in a village whose day in and out was all about fishing. Sometimes fishing close to home, and sometimes going out far into the ocean, but always revolving around fish. In the beginning she didn't much mind this, she was only a kid after all, but as Sapphira grew up she began to feel more and more restricted by her life. Without much to do Sapphira began getting into dance, but would often be scolded for slacking off and not helping out. Her resentment grew and grew until finally, at the age of 16, she decided to take charge of her future.
Lively Runaway
The moment she saw a chance Sapphira stowed away on a shipping vessel hoping to make a new life for herself wherever she landed. As chances would have it she ended up all the way in Sinnoh... but she had little knowledge of the region or their customs. Life wasn't easy in the beginning, she struggled and struggled hard, but the one thing that brought her solace were all the new things she was experiencing. All the while she continued honing her dance skills as often as she could. Finally, at the age of 19, she was scouted and life began to turn around.
The High Life
Though Sapphira still had much to learn she was quick to catch on and already plenty skilled. It didn't take long for her to become popular and, finally, she was able to afford and do everything she'd dreamed of. Fame has it's downsides too, however. Sometimes she would feel nostalgic for the days she could dance whenever and wherever she wanted, and even this new life could be incredibly stifling... a different kind of cage, though slightly more appealing at least. So she began to sneak out every chance she got to just live life as a nobody and experience things by herself. Often on these stealth adventures she would meet all kinds of people... people she considered to be close friends. People she could share her struggles with. Thanks to that, she began to view things in a brighter light.
