Basic Info

Name

Aurora

Pronouns

She/Her

Age

12

Height

Aurora: 4’5 // Kon: 7'7

Family

Elijah (Father, age 32) || Shion (Mother, deceased.) || Delilah (Aunt, age 28)

Partner Pokemon

Pangoro β™‚ (Named, β€œKon”)

Pokemon Party

Pangoro β™‚ (Named, β€œKon”) || Shiny Altaria ♀ (Named, "Nimbus")

Personality

Quiet, soft spoken. Seems indifferent/cold, her facial expression is at a constant deadpan and she is unable to really express herself via facial expressions unless she is close to the person, and even then, it's only on occasion. She’s rather shy and nervous despite her lack of facial expression, and tends to mutter quietly when speaking so most people tend to miss what she says unless they are listening carefully. In truth, she's a very gentle and kindhearted girl.

Region

Sinnoh (Kon came to her under special circumstances)

Important

She was born fully blind

Extra

Kon is both her coordinator Pokemon as well as her "helper" pokemon. Kon let's out a various amount of sounds/grunts and Aurora very much understands what he is saying in this way. Kon is often found wearing a blue bow, sometimes on his head, sometimes on his neck like a bowtie, sometimes on his wrist, etc. Though the appearance of it may be found a little ridiculous to others, it was something Aurora gave him, and he considers it his treasure.

Extra

She is close friends with Melody (friend OC) and is far more open to them and speaks/expresses herself around them more

Extra

Aurora has only her father, as her mother passed away during labor. Her mother was all alone in the world and her father's only living relative left was his sister, Aurora's aunt. Due to circumstances (see bio) Aurora only really has her father, although their relationship is a bit strained.

Profile

She met Kon when he was still a pancham when she was 8 years old. Aurora had been having a small picnic for herself in her backyard when Kon came rustling through the shrubbery. Although she heard him moving about, she assumed that it was a pokemon (as it sounded light footed) and didn't think it'd come near her. However, she was surprised when she realized that a Pokemon blatantly hobbled over and stole the food from her basket and began eating snacks out of her bag. She wasn't upset, however, and laughed, after the pancham made some confused bear noises upon realizing that the little girl couldn't actually see him. She offered water for him as well after opening a bottle and they became inseparable ever since.

Kon was initially a pancham stolen from his family and smuggled to Sinnoh by improper and illegal means by Team Rocket. He managed to escape the small cage he was being held in after a period of time, although he was starved because of maltreatment. When he had escaped far enough, he came rushing to the first scent of food he picked up, which led him to Aurora's backyard that fateful day.

Prior to the events of meeting Kon, Aurora once smiled and laughed very often, and was quite expressive. It wasn't until one day that her aunt told her to "stop smiling" because she had looked "weird" and "creepy." Prior to this, Aurora had never once considered her inability to see as something to be ashamed of, but after hearing such a thing, she felt humiliated and ridiculed. She tried for ages trying to understand what they meant, trying to "fix" her smile, only to push herself further into herself, like a small cornered animal. Eventually, Aurora became unable to smile and laugh, and even express herself altogether. When her father realized Aurora's behavior becoming more and more reclusive, he tried to get her to open up to him, to no avail. Because her father's only family left was her aunt/his sister, she didn't want to burden her father of having to "choose" and remained silent. Gradually, their relationship became more and more strained. Her father had misunderstood, and thought that Aurora resented him, and that he had failed her as her father. When Aurora laughed for the first time in years after meeting Kon, her father was stupefied, and allowed Aurora to keep Kon by her side despite not really knowing where he had even come from. A few years later (a little bit before current timeline) when Aurora decided to leave on a journey with Kon who had evolved to be a powerful and massive Pangoro, he left her in his care, and quietly begged Kon to protect her in his place, protect her where he couldn't.

Additional info about Kon's Bow:

The bow that Kon wears is modified (with Kon's consent, and unbeknownst to Aurora) by Elijah. Due to Elijah's concern for Aurora, and having extensive knowledge over Team Rocket's HQs as well as general ideas of other evil organization HQs memorized by heart (see Elijah's profile), he has placed a GPS within the Bow, so that he will be alerted if they are within the boundary of any HQ. Along with this, he has taught Kon how to "use" the technology infused in the bow. If there ever is a situation in which Kon cannot handle, he can activate the bow to transmit an alert signal to nearby police stations as well as an alert to Elijah's lab. Once the emergency alert is activated, it will also automatically transmit all audio to Elijah's lab and will continue doing so until Elijah cuts off the transmission or something happens to the bow. Elijah can ONLY hear the transmissions, and only when the emergency alert is activated, otherwise everything Kon and Aurora does is left in the dark for him. Aside from this, the bow has another function, think of it like a debit card, in which Elijah secretly sends money for the two of them, allowing them to stay safely in inns and purchase supplies without really having to do anything. Any purchases made will automatically show up (to whoever is receiving payment) as an authorized purchase made from Elijah himself. Aurora is unaware of this, and simply assumes that it is out of good will. (Whenever Kon's bow is in range of a card reader, it will automatically scan, which is why he tends to move his bow on his wrist, unbeknownst to Aurora.) She is very much unaware, while Kon has a general idea, as Elijah had explained it to him once he had noticed Kon's rather high intelligence and comprehension skills. Aurora tends to help around inns or shops to begin with out of her own free will, so it only furthers this bit of misunderstanding.
