Stonemason, mountain temple caretaker.

He comes off as a strong, silent type but in truth he’s rather socially awkward with a poetic/philosopher streak. At night he writes by candlelight, but he keeps his writing largely stashed away as a secret. His few friends know him as a confident wise-guy and expert crafter. His outward awkwardness does not come from lack of wit, but more from lack of exposure and a general state of dissonance with the world around him. When comfortable he could talk down a mountain. Those who have read his writings regard him highly, but the exposure of his works is minimal.

His passion and the manifestation of his philosophical work is making enchanted stone golems.
Despite his exterior as a lionhearted, self assured wise guy he’s actually got a fairly shitty, troubled temperament especially in regards to holding himself to too high a standard; he frequently trashes both golems and writings. His ultimate goal is to finally create his crowning achievement, a sentient golem, a perfect being, Keter Malkhut (Royal Crown.) For the moment he produces golems to assist in basic tasks, and keeps 2 as sort of workshop assistants. They are affectionately named Solomon and Gabirol.

He is often confused for a statue, and sometimes takes advantage of this to smugly spook passersby. Well.. a passerby. The primary victim of this is Rodney, who is fairly convinced between Avi and Altwidus that the mountain shrines are haunted.

Other friends include Ry, who he has semi-reluctantly warmed up to, and Salieri. He believes the metaphysical to be inextricably linked to the corporeal, encouraging him to stay in shape by occasionally humoring Ry's offers to spar.
