About

Machiavelli is the daughter of Evil. Her very non-hellish existence would be a total fluke, had it not been detailed in a prophecy written by some old arch-demon somewhere. She feels like a mistake more than half the time, but tends to keep those feelings to herself.

Personality

As someone lacking in enthusiasm, she makes up for it with an abundance of sarcasm. Thanks to this habit Machiavelli is generally not one to make small talk. Instead, she prefers to get to the point of a conversation before leaving as soon as possible because according to her she does not need to deal with more bullshit.

Though not the team mom by any means, she would absolutely fight to protect for her human friends, and already sort of lives to serve her demonic ones. All in all, Machiavelli is far from good-natured and wants nothing more than to hop into a cozy bed and sleep the day (and night) away, but is often prevented by her own obligations or empathy kicking in at the least opportune times.

Lore / Facts

Machiavelli was born to fulfill half of a prophecy stating that Evil would bear two children. One a human, the other a demon. The prophecy went as follows: One would be born with beauty and grace that would lure humanity to its downfall, and the other would carry out the whims of Evil himself, delivering the catalysts for misfortune straight to the humans in a far more proactive fashion. Every hellspawn around assumed that the former would be a human, the latter demonic in nature. Perhaps an imp of some kind.

...When the two children were created [were they even born?], the roles were reversed. The human had various birth marks and symbols on them, indicating the role they would take; the one that most prominently entailed serving hell and delivering artifacts for all of eternity. That human was Machiavelli, and since completing her training she has lived up to that expectation.

Relationships

Evil [ Father ]

Machiavelli has a relationship with her dad in the same way Timmy Turner has a relationship with his dad. That is to say; Evil fundamentally thinks of Machiavelli as a disappointment, but shows compassion and his own weird definition of care for her regardless. If she died, he would cry. If he died, she would be confused as to how the hell that happened and mourn. That's one closeness milestone reached, right?

Fun Fact: Her family doesn't actually have a last name. Evil thought it would be a funny pun if her last name and initial was E. Ville, so she's stuck with that now.

Abbadon [ Brother ]

Abbadon and Machiavelli don't see each other often, but when they do they get along. Abbadon brings out the mischievous side of Machiavelli, and Machiavelli helps Abbadon toughen up and deal with some of his problems in a more blunt and effective way. If allowed to spend more time with each other, the two would become inseparable very quickly.

The Tinker [ Uncomfortable ]

Machiavelli avoids The Tinker as often as she can, but having someone deliver artifacts from The Tinker to her is a luxury she can't afford. Instead Mac is forced to come face-to-face with the creature, and often laments how it addresses her as "Lady Machiavelli" and her brother as "Lord Abbadon". It regards her with respect despite not caring at all about her as a person, and that's just the kind of thing Machiavelli hates.
