Assistant Dependolent was very good at playing the part of a typical tealblood. He was perfect in the office, sorting papers and filing things away and getting rid of things his employer didn't need to care about, but that was only an act. In reality he was the puppet master, pulling the strings while playing the parts everyone else wants to see. He should've gotten an award for his acting. It's hard having to hide his smug smile. It's hard and no one understands.

Every ancestor was somehow a victim of his schemes, and his knowledge of exactly how to pull the strings was something he was very proud of. But his knowledge had to come from somewhere, and in reality he was the one being manipulated. His lusus and first guardian had a plan she didn't include him on, and when he finally ran out of useful things to do, she killed him off and retitled him to The Perfidious.
