"Meteors, it's all meteors... Am I going mad? So soon?"

Empyreal Startracker Solehorn was once a troll who loved every star in the sky. He studied them diligently and memorized the name of every constellation. It was his dream to become the Empyreal Startracker with his matesprit by his side. Then his matesprit left him behind and he was alone, just him and the stars. Just him and the stars and the first guardian that would haunt his waking hours with visions of meteors.

He eventually got his wish and became the empire's greatest Empyreal Startracker, but it was wrong somehow, and he couldn't get the visions out of his head. He became convinced that there was nothing he could do. No safe place to lead the empire's conquest. No way the empire wouldn't fall victim to the cosmos themselves. The very idea drove him towards insanity, and insanity drove him to lead the empire's fleets to riskier and riskier places, until the empress finally killed him herself.
