Brooke is one of the many Octolings who heard the Squid Sister's Calimari Inkitation during the final boss of Splatoon 1. Due to mostly luck, she managed to make her way to the surface and find Inkopolis. After living there for a little while, she discovered art and began to use it as a medium to tell the story of her journey out of Octoling Society. Now, she lives in a smol apartment where she’s frequently seen doing art on her porch, and will occasionally partake in a turf war or two.
During her time in Octavio's army, she was a captain and was the leader of her own small squad. If she hadn't left, she likely could've climbed higher in the army's ranks. Currently, she doesn't know what happened to anyone from her squad.
Brooke's pretty quiet and reserved around people she doesn't know, but after knowing her for a while, she'll open up and become a loveable dork. She loves painting, fresh air, and warm sweaters. However, after her long journey to the surface, she's grown to be afraid of tight spaces, the dark, and quiet.
Her main weakness is that she's very empathetic towards other people, which can end up with her in rather unsafe positions. She also isn't very good at socalizing. Most of her original confidence vanished with Octavio's mind control.
Additionally, after leaving the army, she's grown to really not like violence. She can convince herself to do turf war and ranked battles since they have respawn pads, but she usually feels very guilty when she has to work a Salmon Run Shift to pay rent.
