POWER-HUNGRY VAMPIRE

Glail is a vampire who's been around five centuries or so, surviving chiefly by hiding her vampire status and living in the shadows. In the past century, she's grown tired of this meek lifestyle and has adopted a hands-on approach to finding food.

She allied with Pinocchio I, the serial killing wielder of the demon sword Chastice, before his demise. Now she seeks to obtain Chastice for herself; making her mortal enemies with its current wielder, Prince Duffy, aka Pinocchio II.

Facts

  • To anyone but Prince Duffy, she's actually very compassionate, wise, and motherly. To Duffy, though, she's a cruel sadistic bitch.
  • Don't worry, she has a different golf club for head-bashing, and one for normal games of golf!
  • She's left-handed.

Backstory

Glail is the adoptive mother of Morgan, the only son of Pinocchio I. She had a romantic relationship with Pinocchio I while he was working with Chastice, during which Glail was an accomplice to their crimes to a dubious extent. She had grand plans for the two of them with Chastice in their possession, but Pinocchio met an early demise after foolishly storming the castle with his sights set on usurping the throne.

With her dreams of grandeur shattered, Glail resigned to a civilian life and took care of Morgan full-time, who was 11 at the time. As time went on with no news of Chastice's whereabouts, Glail began to lose hope for her grand scheme, and the dark reality of her past actions settled in. Though Glail was sure to be nothing but a caring mother in Morgan's presence, his father was nothing but Pinocchio, so to speak.

Over time, Glail grew comfortable with her humble life running a bakery with Morgan. Was the sanctity of her remaining family worth shattering for a chance at endless power? This question was once again dangled in front of her when she caught wind of Chastice's return, and her new, curiously named wielder - Pinocchio II.

Pinocchio II

[ mortal enemy ] Pinocchio II's a snot-nosed, petty egotist in Glail's eyes, and she takes great pride in wiping the floor with him; whether that convinces Chastice or not. Killing him won't achieve anything, but putting a hamper in the sword and wielder's plans might persuade Chastice to switch sides sooner.

Chastice

[ desired ally ] Despite Glail's obvious superiority over Pinocchio II as a wielder, given her physical prowess, magical powers, and centuries of experience as a vampire, Chastice seems too entertained by Duffy being an "interesting" matchup for her to switch sides and work with Glail. This infuriates Glail to no end. Still, she's dead-set on obtaining Chastice one way or another.

Morgan

[ cherished son ] Morgan is Glail's entire world. Despite all her voracity for power, she'd never do anything that could endanger him. Likewise, she has no qualms about snuffing out a party threatening Morgan's life.

Ilessa

[ mortal enemy ] As the Captain of the Royal Guard, Ilessa is naturally an enemy to Glail, along with anyone else swearing fealty to the kingdom. The two's power is at a standstill.

Pinocchio I

[ lover/partner in crime ] Prior to his death, Glail was in a romantic relationship with Pinocchio I. She worked alongside him and Chastice, carving their way through to bounties of blood. But, whereas Glail has a motherly side after all the excitement has died down, Pinocchio had nothing of the sort, ever since becoming a wielder.
