Intro
Kovu was the second born child of Mohatu and Braxton, he grew up loving the sound of rock 'n roll music from the 80s. When he was seven, he begged his dads to get him guitar lessons, which they ended up doing. He religiously practiced guitar and was eventually upgraded from an acoustic guitar to an electric guitar on Christmas when he was twelve years old from his dad, Mohatu, his biggest supporter of his dream to some day become a big rock star.
After a great deal of hard work and dedication, Kovu at last was able to get record company to sign him on, which he did so using a stage name: Nuka Bomb. This was to make sure that no one could accuse Kovu of obtaining his fame due to nepotism because his father Mohatu had been in the music industry. Kovu writes his own songs and releases them, although he does collab with others from time to time as well as write songs for the express purpose of another artist or group to release. Despite his fame, Kovu still manages to keep himself grounded and he does a great deal of charity work, but his husband certainly helps keep him grounded too.

Kovu is a very confident young bean, especially in himself and his abilities as a musician and song writer. Kovu is a big flirt, he'll honestly flirt with anyone and quite possibly, anything, shamelessly. He is quite the charmer, something he admittedly uses to his advantage from time to time to get out of certain things or sticky situations. This is not to say that he is lazy, he doesn't use his charm to get out of doing work. He is actually quite diligent and hard working. Kovu is a social butterfly who has absolutely no problems making friends and can make friends with just about anyone. He enjoys being the center of attention and can be quite a ham. One of Kovu's biggest problems is his temper, though he thinks that he is easy going and can tolerate things others say, the truth is that he has a short fuse, especially when the wrong buttons are pressed. He'll fight the aggressor words, but if whatever it was that they said or did was worth getting physical over, he'll fight them tooth and claw over whatever it was that set him off.
Kovu is also a very caring individual who wants to make a difference in the world in some way, he tries to do this with his music and also with the community service and volunteer work that he does. He is a fantastic friend, one whom you can certainly count on in your time of need.

While Kovu was in high school, he would work part time at Toothless Sonata's theater, the Ever After Theater, while still going to school. During high school, he worked hard on doing well in his classes while still practicing with his band, which would frequently play at his high school's talent shows and was so good that they would frequently be asked to play at the school's proms and balls whenever the DJ took a break.
Sometime during Kovu's junior year of high school, his parents went through an amicable divorce, which although Kovu understood, still left him with quite angry for quite some time. This residual anger about the divorce led to a particularly nasty fight that he had at school with another kid on campus which resulted in Kovu's scar over his left eye as well a week long suspension. The fight did help him burn off the emotions that he had about his parent's divorce and was able to cool off during the suspension, he came back and was able to resume academically, although his grades weren't so hot that year. He did better his senior year and after all of Kovu's hard work, he was able to graduate high school and get his high school diploma. He was tempted to stop at just a high school diploma and pursue his music career, but decided that it would be best to go to college and get a degree or two so that he would have something to fall back on if he shouldn't hit it big at a rock star. So he is currently now in college, but still works at Toothless's theater in order to help pay for his education.
Despite his father Mohatu being a retired rock star, Kovu was adamant about making a name for himself independent of his father's, so while he would accept his father's help when it came to tools and supplies that he might need for his instrument and song writing, he didn't want his dad helping him become famous or get signed to a record label. So Kovu adopted an alias, Nuka Bomb, using one of the names that his parents had considered naming him which he had discovered when he found the name in a list in an old baby name book he'd found running around the house.
Sometime after graduating college with two degrees to fall back on, Kovu ended up getting signed to a record label called Lion's Roar Records under his alias Nuka Bomb and soon released his first rock album called Pride Rock. The title track of the album, "Pride Rock" was the first song to be released onto the radio and was a #1 hit in his home state within a week and it became a #1 hit song in the nation within few short weeks of its release.

Guitar Playing
Ever since getting his very first guitar, Kovu has learned and honed his skills in regards to guitar playing. Though he has branched out to other instruments, his skills with them pale in comparison to his skills with a guitar. It could easily be said that with an electric guitar hand, Kovu shines the brightest.
Song-Writing
Song-writing is a skill which Kovu has had for many years, having written his very first song at the age of twelve while bored at school in math class. Since then, he writes songs on a prolific level and all of the songs that he does are either completely written by him or are co-written by him. Kovu finds a great deal of enjoyment in the song-writing process as well as peace.
Showmanship

Usnavi "Rum Tum Tugger" Ulrich Husband
Usnavi, better known as Tugger, is Kovu's husband. They met during a musical production for which Kovu was responsible for writing the songs for and from there, a romance blossomed. Kovu absolutely adores Usnavi and prefers his real name over his nickname, though will use his nickname in public since he knows that Usnavi doesn't want everyone to know his actual name.

Mohatu Lyon Father
Mohatu is one of Kovu's fathers and the one that he happens to be the closest to as Mohatu was the one that he chose to live with after his dads' divorce while Kovu was in high school. He looks up to Mohatu and has been following in his father's footsteps for years to become a world famous rock star just like Mohatu. Kovu knows that Mohatu has always been there for him and because of that, they have a very close bond. Mohatu is extremely supportive of Kovu, actively collecting all of Kovu's albums when they come out and attended the first showing of the musical for which Kovu had written music for.
Braxton Ulrich Father
Braxton is Kovu's other father and is, unfortunately, the one he does not live with or know as well as his dad Mohatu. Despite this, he still loves Braxton and makes an effort to come visit him every once in awhile. For the most part though, he only contacts Braxton for holidays, special events and big news.

Kimba is Kovu's little brother, the youngest of the family and one of the few siblings he's able to keep in regular contact with due to his job. He's very supportive of Kimba's nature photography business and often purchases and/or commissions pieces from Kimba to decorate his home with as well as use the commissioned pieces as the artwork for several of his albums.

Tamu Lyon Aunt
Tamu is Kovu's aunt, being the sister of his father Mohatu. Due to this, he sees her fairly often, they have an okay relationship. He will admit to having a hard time listening to her sing because she frequently does so out of tune which hurts his ears. He loves her all the same though and will certainly grin and bear it as best he can.
