Zakari

Name is pronounced "Zuh-kar-ee," not like Zachary. 

Born into a rich family which he wants nothing to do with, Zakari has put a lot of distance between himself and his family. After a traumatic event that took place at only thirteen years old, he lived with his aunt for a while, but even that was stifling. His traumatic past has left him with a pessimistic outlook, unsure of the direction he should take. Feelings of sadness, self-blame, and frustration often consume him, causing others to shy away and pushing away those he cares about. The yearning for acceptance and belonging haunts him, leaving him feeling isolated from his peers. With the exception of his childhood best friend Lyam, Zakari doesn't have many friends.

Yet, Zakari finds solace in the unwavering bond he shares with his little sister, Celeste. Their connection motivates him to work to ensure her happiness and well-being. As soon as he turned 18, he left to make a life of his own and cares for his sister, and he's been doing whatever he can to ensure that they're both surviving. Zakari doesn't care about having a lot of money or status—he just wants to get through life the best he can. Due to his unfortunate childhood, he's got a bit of a negative outlook on life and is lost in what direction he wants to take. He's often sad and upset with himself for making bad choices, which comes out as frustration and anger that tends to make people avoid him, and push those he cares about away. He doesn't know how to feel accepted by his peers and it hurts him. Thankfully he has an extremely close bond with his little sister Celeste and continues to work hard every day to make sure she's happy.

Zakari's heart holds a special place for Kara, harboring romantic feelings for her despite her tough exterior. He deeply admires her strength and resilience, finding solace in the shared understanding of their troubled pasts. Zakari yearns to be by her side, offering his support and love, but he understands that Kara must be ready to accept his help. Nevertheless, his care for her is unwavering, and he strives to bring a smile to her face. They share a deep connection.

His previous attempt at pursuing a business degree, a path dictated by his father's success, left him feeling empty and unfulfilled. Breaking free from those expectations, Zakari dropped out of university and now works at a small mall retail store to make ends meet. While it may not be a glamorous job, he takes pride in his independence and the strides he has made on his own.

For hobbies, he enjoys collecting swords and spray painting, but his main passion is music. He plays guitar very well and sings even better, having a beautiful voice that is often surprising to the people who hear it due to his intimidating appearance. It's a secret pleasure he indulges in when the world becomes too overwhelming.

Whenever anyone asks him about his scar, he changes the story every time. Nobody knows the truth of how he got it.
