Personality Traits

I'd rather listen to people talk about themselves than talk about myself.
I obsessively take notes on everything in case I forget again.

Ideals

People. You never appreciate what you have until it's gone.

Bonds

I fear my past may catch up with me and hurt those around me.

Flaws

If I don't know the answer to a question, I'll come up with a plausible lie.

Features & Traits

Tactics
At 1st level, you gain Tactical Points, which represent the mental energy that you draw from in manipulating the battlefield. As you gain more levels in strategist, you will find more ways to use this mental energy to provide benefits to your teammates. You regain all tactical points after a short or long rest.
At 1st level, you may choose one of the following tactics. You may learn one additional tactic at levels 2, 7, 13, and 17, and may choose to replace one tactic you have already learned with a new one each time you gain a level. When an ability targets a friendly creature, you may choose to have it target yourself.
Lightning Tactics
Immediately after rolling initiative, you may spend a tactical point to add or subtract your Intelligence modifier to/from the initiative roll of one friendly creature. You may decide which creature to apply this to after determining combat order (rearrange as necessary). Only one creature may be affected by this ability per combat.
Mobile Tactics
As a bonus action, you can read the battlefield and relay this information to a teammate. You may spend a tactical point to allow a friendly creature that can hear you to use a reaction to move up to their speed without provoking opportunity attacks.
Battle Awareness
Starting at first level, you gain the following benefits:
• You may add your Intelligence modifier to your initiative rolls.
• You may spend a tactical point as a reaction at the start of combat to avoid being surprised.
• You may spend a bonus action to make an Intelligence (Investigation) check to observe your opponents. You may only use this ability only once per combat. The DC for this check is 12 + (the challenge rating of the highest-CR opposing enemy, divided by two). On a success, you may request an answer to one of the following questions from the dungeon master. For every 3 above the required DC, you may request one more item of information:
• Which opposing creature has the most (or least) hit points?
• Which opposing creature has the highest (or lowest) armor class?
• Which opposing creatures have class levels?
• Which opposing creature has the highest (or lowest) intelligence score (or other ability score)?
• Which opposing creature is directing the opposing force? (if such a creature is not visible, you will learn it when they become visible; until then, you can know that you do not see the leader)
• Are there any areas that opposing creatures are avoiding within the combat arena?
• Other similar questions, as allowed by your dungeon master.
Fighting Style: Protection
When a creature you can see attacks a target other than you that is within 5 feet of you, you can use your reaction to impose disadvantage on the attack roll. You must be wielding a shield.
Recollection
You vividly remember a scene that's hard to place in time or context. You may remember a tender moment between yourself and a loved one. You may remember feeling extreme grief from a traumatic event. You may have had a day-to-day interaction between yourself and a companion. You may remember a strange event that was otherwise mundane at the moment.
