| Mardi and Lucetta were born to Avril Brodeur and an unnamed man. When they were around 8, their father passed away from cancer. A few years later, their mother married a woman named Laura Dean, and the twins became the younger step-sisters of Johnathan Couture.

Compared to her twin sister, Mardi is more naive and kind hearted. She is more emotional, and has a tendency to cry often. She is more easily frightened as well. She is definitely the more gentle of the twins. Despite this, she can still be mischevious.
