Entomophobic kid who took a Botany elective in high school and somehow got some sort of bug curse (it's debatable on whether or not it is real or just bad luck, but he calls it a curse). Son of a woodworking family. Ed's phobia wasn't too extreme, but in the early months of the "curse" it definitely took a toll on his mental health. The mask he wore was a stolen one of his father's respirator masks, he used it to cover his nose and mouth from the bugs.

The bug "curse" got lesser and lesser over the years, but when it first started he took the chance to learn about the bugs that were around him, and he grew a liking to the history of them. Eventually he did not need the respirator mask anymore. While attending Mystery High he became friends with Franky Sourz, who was a nerd in constant need of bug info for his Entomology elective (and to woo his crush). In exchange Franky would tutor him for his Botany exams since his mother worked at a plant nursery. In doing this, Franky learned about the species of moth Pseudopostega Acidata, which he later used the name of to create his world famous band after High School: Acidata. Edward was always credited in the thank you section of all of their releases but no one really cared about him past that. He'd gotten to do a few interviews over the years due to contant verbal recounting of it but all it really did was give him some extra cash. He got free tickets to see ACIDATA whenever he wanted though!

At age 22 he took his earnings from his various jobs and bought the failing buisiness of Annie's diner, renaming it after himself. It is still open today as Eddie's.
