Carbon is a kind Jedi Knight who wants nothing more than to keep the people around him safe. He lost his Padawan early on in the Clone Wars, and kept her lightsaber in her honor. He is the commanding Jedi General of the 663rd Clone regiment, and his clone Commander is Wyvern.

Carbon fights with honor throughout the Clone Wars, and is even known for sparing enemies when he can. He is the only known Force-sensitive member of his species. Carbon has thick padding on the bottom of his feet that allow him to move stealthily, despite his height. The fins on either side of his head are incredibly sensitive, and allow him to hear things many cannot; furthermore, he has incredible nigh vision. His vision in daylight, however, is not nearly as good. He relies on his hearing, sense of smell, and use of the Force to help him make up for it.

When Order 66 was executed, Carbon was in battle with the 663rd. His men- his friends- suddenly turned on him. Wyvern was the one who allowed him to escape. Carbon knew that something was controlling his men, and managed to find a locked file on an ARC Trooper named Fives. Thanks to his ranking in the Republic army, he was able to unlock the files, and learn about the Inhibitor chips. He then managed to separate Wyvern from the other members of the 663rd, and removed his chip. The two stuck together after escaping the planet, and changed their appearances so as to stay under the radar.
