Profile

Cousin to one of the player characters, Throckmorton Byrd attends the same public school as Anna and another player character.  He's an irritating freshman who has recently awakened to his Stand ability and is using it to be a complete nuisance and nothing else.  He joined a trendy skater "gang" at school aptly named Skate or Die; as one can expect, they're all bark and barely any bite.  Despite his attitude problem, he doesn't pose much of a threat, and acted as the "first boss" of the campaign.

Known Backstory:

...He doesn't have much of one.  He simply came into his ability recently and decided to be a menace with it.  The players soundly defeated him and put him in time out.  He's too young to have overly complicated motivations.

In-Game Timeline (Act 1):

He still showed up here and there, mostly for school scenes or shopping for more stickers for his deck.  His cousin is thankfully teaching him better control of his Stand (and how to be a better person, sort of).  He was on the receiving end of Nemo's ability once, and was rendered deafblind for a while.  He got better.

In-Game Timeline (Act 2):

A mysterious Stand called「Endless Fantasy」overwrote the memories of parts of the city and characters' relationships while simultaneously skipping time forward a couple months.  The players and NPCs were victims alike, and eventually regained varying degrees of knowledge of what had been reset.  Throckmorton was relatively unaffected; the timeskip seems to be more relevant to him than the shift in reality.  He tried to ask a senior out to prom and was swiftly shot down.  Nice try, big guy.

Ability: 「Goldfinger

Close-Range, Artificial Humanoid

Goldfinger can manipulate a target's neurons by placing a computer chip-looking device on parts of the body.  This chip can stay hidden until it starts affecting the target; however, it can only manipulate the neurons around the affected area (e.g. a chip placed on a leg can only move that leg).  Throcky has to manage to touch multiple areas with his Stand in order to take full control of a target's neurons (and thus the target's motor control, pain response, etc.).  Once he does, he can keep manipulating them within a short distance from him.  The effect weakens the farther the victim goes from Throcky.

It looks like a cyborg skate punk, with sunglasses.  It's on the smaller side.

Other:

  • His shirt is the logo of the game of the same name as his gang.
  • Besides his meme first name, his last name is to reference Tony Hawk.
  • The campaign takes place in the 90s, so he was designed to be as 90s as possible, complete with frosted tips and JNCO jeans.
  • His skateboard stickerbomb are references to my other projects, and projects from friends!
  • A player made a comparison between Goldfinger and this Hearthstone card, AND THAT'S FINE WITH ME
  • Character art album cover background reference
