Good natured and curious, Aolani is dedicated to her work, taking over her mother's study. As a young lizard, she's always been fascinated by insects, creepy crawlies are just so interesting because they're all so different! She's recently been studying the intelligence of different insects and the effects that the 'civilized' drug has on them. Aolani is a little scruffy at the best of times and will stay awake for countless hours watching anime or working. Her diet mostly consists of poke and lomi-lomi salmon, a little reminder of home, she's a very skilled chef when she wants to be, other days she just microwaves some rice and calls it a day. Aolani, being a lizard, loves to spend any afternoons she can at the beach, soaking in the sunlight and checking out the crabs.
Her mother passed away some years ago, she was told she had health complications, but never got to say her goodbyes. She grew up with her extended family back in Hawaii and never knew who her father was, while her mother wasn't around much during her childhood due to her spending most of her time in Catastrocity, she did get to see her throughout the years and was always eager to hear about her research both having an interest insects. she was far from close to her mother and always wished she could have spent more time with her before her death. In an attempt to feel closer to her mother, Aolani took up her research and moved to Catastrocity, Working alongside her mother's old colleague, Dr Jones. She took over her mother's original project in dealing with the intelligence of arachnids, but things have not gone according to plan lately so she has been forced to research less socially damaging things.

She heard a lot about him from her mother. She seemed fond of him, he has a picture of him and her mother together on his computer. He's been nothing but polite to her ever since she arrived.
Her late mother, she knew very little about her but is happy to take over her work, it's a chance to learn more about her.
Being the same age, they were able to bond some when she took over the project. They're far from friends, but she would call them acquaintances. He has escaped the labs recently, so she's very worried for him.
These two could talk to each other for hours about their research, they know very little about each other as people. They like to compare their work.
