This section contains some information on Tahlia's history, as well as information on her species, her day to day life and her personality

Celestials and their Children

Basic summary: Gaia is from a race called the celestials. they are a race of humanoids with a 5-dimensional perception. Basically they could see the future and the past and any possibility that could be or could have been. because of their perception they were able to genetically engineered themselves to become almost immortal. This allowed them to conquer the universe. on top of immortality they gave themselves the ability to genetically alter their children to their desire. The celestials like to see themselves as shepards of the universe. everything in it is theirs, and in return, they will prevent its destruction by other forces. They commonly do this by sending 1 or a few celestials to a planet or system and have them oversee that nothing unexpected or unwanted happens there.
There aren't a lot of celestials so most of them work alone or in small groups. and even though they do have poerful abilities, it is hard for them to oversee a whole planet on their own. for that reason, Celestials give birth to a race commonly called celestial children. These children can be genetically crafted by their parent to have exactly the right skills for the task it needs to perform. Usually they only have a limited free will as it celestials wouldn't want their minions to revolt. however, some celestials, like gaia, have a companion child that is their friend during times where life away from other celestials gets lonely. These companions are usually given a lot stronger abilities and actual free will. Tahlia is one of those

A childs aura

All of Gaias children (except Eeyla) have the same ability. They are able to sense their surroundings in 4 dimensions. Gaia's children have an aura around them produced by their tails. this aura is always there, but it can also grow. when traveling, the aura allows the children to see seconds into the future and sense anything within 5 meters of them. however, if a child settles down, the aura grows. if a child stays in a place long enough, their aura can grow to be several kilometers wide and can look years into the future and past. When a child were to leave the area covered by their aura, the aura would start to gradually diminish. if they return, the aura will still be there. when outside of their lingering aura, Gaia's children can not detect what is going on within the aura.
With precognitive abilities the question is, can the future change? it can, but the general consensus among the gaia's children is to not do that. The reason being that changing the future cripples the ability of themselves and others to see it. if a change is radical enough, it can completely knock out any precognitive skills they had for a certain amount of time. the aura is damaged and needs to regrow. This does lead to an interesting phenomena. an aura in a future that did not happen does not disappear. instead it creates ghostly images of what could have been within the aura. they're called echoes and they appear in almost every aura. usually they are small, like a bird that would have found a nesting place if the celestial did not cut down their future home to build a house. and now the little birdsthat would be born there no longer exist creating echoes. Another way an echo is created is when a child dies within their aura. Their echo of what could have been if they were still alive remains.
Tahlia is a special case. Her potential aura is much bigger than any of her brothers and sisters, stretching out for hundreds of kilometers and allowing her to look corward centuries. This is why her tail is huge compared to those of her siblings. Tahlia also has a few abilities that are unique to her and Aurora. She is able to tap in and maintain the aura of others of her kind, simply by having her aura connect to theirs. this isn't an instant transision. it takes time for her aura to adapt to the aura of the other. also, if she stays within an aura for too long without the owner being presant, she can completely overtake it leaving the owner without an aura to return to. Tahlia also has a level of control within her aura that other children do not have. While all of gaia's children can observe their aura, Tahlia is able to manipulate the flow of time within hers. she most commonly uses this to make her flowergarden bloom all year.

Gaia and the Paradise plan

The celestials discovered a race of beings that reminded them what they used to be like. They send a fairly young celestial to the planet to "make a paradise". Her name was Gaia. the planet was Earth. the beings were humans. Gaia never had to oversee a planet before. this was her first "job". Celestials usually grow old enough to see the birth and death of several solar systems. the usual lifetime of a species is nothing to them. Gaia was still very young though. not even a hundred years old at that point and she really had no idea where to start. her training did not prepare her for this. So she boldly went ahead and started talking to humans. She was instantly recognized as a god and the group of humans she met abused her power to get rid of another clan of humans they did not like. Gaia instantly recognized that just talking to humans and giving them what they want was not the way to go. so she deviced a plan.
The plan was to use a form of manipulation to guide humans towards a greater goal. For that Gaia needed minions. For starters she gave birth to 2 special children, Aurora and Tahlia. While not the same as actual celestials, Tahlia and Aurora borrowed some of their abilities. Gaia wanted these 2 to be her left and right hand. She raised them according to her needs. Tahlia was always jealous of Aurora. Gaia always seemed to prefer Aurora above her and she felt like she wasn't important. Alternatively, when something went wrong, Tahlia was always the one to be punished. When they grew up, Tahlia and Aurora were to have completely different functions. Aurora was the general, the commanding officer and the engineer that would work out the fine details of the plan. Tahlia was the acquisitions officer. it's a fancy term for what she actually needed to do. Because Gaia was not done. she needed to have minions all over the world to know what was going on at every corner of the planet at any time. Before their training was fully complete, Gaia tasked Tahlia with taking care of her brothers and sisters. she became their mother and teacher. These younger children did not have the same abilities as Tahlia and Aurora. and Gaia did not want to bother with them after raising her first 2 children on her own.
The network grew, Tahlia kept raising and training new children that would be send to places to acquire information there. The information could then help Aurora to make detailed plans. The idea was to have a series of divine interventions and godlike appearances that would form a religion tailored to the needs of the people in that place. This lead to the birth of many different religions all across the planet. all of them created to make humanity behave and guide it to a bright future.
The plan was not without flaws. humans were far more unpredictable than Gaia initially thought. But the religion plan did go pretty well. so well in fact that gaia got really bored of just sitting around hearing the same reports from Aurora over and over again. Gaia liked humans. she often just walked among them if she needed a break. and the amount of breaks she took was increasing. and then she completely disappeared. a few years later things started falling apart. Aurora held strong. she was the commanding officer and she was able to maintain the plan without Gaia. She asked for Tahlia's help many times during that period. Slowly though, her facade of determination started crumbling. the world started to change. the religions they created to control were now going to war with each other and destroying themselves. some religions tore themselves in 2 because of a difference in interpretation. the plan was failing.
What was weird about this is that the network of Gaia's children should have known about this long before it actually happened. The children have a precognitive ability that can look years into the future. Things should not fail unexpectedly like this. Unless someone with a precognitive ability of their own was purposefully changing the future. Aurora was slowly breaking down and did not know how to fix the plan. Tahlia jumped in. She told Aurora to go find Gaia and bring her back. Tahlia figured that Gaia was causing all of this and needed to be stopped. She took over command while Aurora was gone to look for their mother.
Years passed while Tahlia was trying to keep up the plans. and then Gaia returned, without Aurora. Gaia immediately told Tahlia to stop everything they were doing up to this point. Gaia told her that she had seen a catastophic failure if they continued their plan like this. So Gaia gave Tahlia new orders. she would be the commanding officer from now on and the plan was to show humanity the true nature of the universe. allowing them to advance at a rapid pace. When Tahlia asked about Aurora, Gaia told her that she was doing field work to repair some of the damage done by the previous plan. Tahlia was a bit worried about this and asked the other children to look out for Aurora and report to her if they found her.
it took time for the precognition of gaia's children to recover from this sudden shift in the plan. Tahlia would do as Gaia told her for the time being and showed humanity the nature of the world. Aurora was still nowhere to be found and Tahlia grew suspicious of what had happened. and then the repords came flooding in. Tahlia started to get reports that humanity would die, and that their new technology is what killed them. this confused her. didn't Gaia start this technological advancement to stop this? were they too late? no, turns out Gaia really just wanted a way out. she was done with this job and wanted a way out. This became very clear when Tahlia eventually found Aurora. or at least, what remained of her.
Aurora wasn't around anymore. The confrontation between her and her mother over the plan did not go well. Gaia killed her leaving only her aura behind. Tahlia was able to talk to Aurora in that aura and learned about Gaia's new plan to get rid of her job by removing the one reason she was stuck here. human kind. Tahlia was shocked and furious, but Aurora stopped her from doing anything rash. if she were to confront gaia just like this, she would suffer the same fate. Tahlia needed something different. something that would make Gaia listen to her. So she looked for and found a way to contact other celestials. She told her about Gaia abandoning her mission. The celestials weren't really willing to help. The only thing they could provide was telling Tahlia that, if Gaia fails her mission on purpose like Tahlia suggested, she would be severely punished. That was enough for her though.
Tahlia prepared for her confrontation with Gaia. She had what she needed. She had the undivided support of all her brothers and sisters who all knew that their mother killed one of them. and she was armed with the threat that the other celestial had uttered. she had sown a seed of doubt with the celestials that, if Gaia were to fail now, she would be accused of doing so on purpose. that was all she needed. and with that, Tahlia went to see Gaia. they talked. Tahlia made sure that Gaia would not dare to put an end to her. it ended in a truce. Gaia would not return to her duty. but she would not actively hinder it either. Gaia put the future in Tahlia's hands. it was up to her to make things right.

Eeyla

Years after the Gaia truce, Tahlia discovered that Gaia was still as irresponsible as before. In her act to pretend to be human, Gaia had given birth to a daughter. One that was very much getting into Gaia's way to live as carefree as possible. To keep herself free of that kind of care, Gaia left the baby at Tahlia's door. When Tahlia found her, she took her in. Tahlia called the girl Eeyla and would take care for her like her own daughter. Or at least, try to. because Tahlia never had a good example what a good parent was like. She herself and all her brothers and sisters she cared for before grew up and were educated for a specific purpose. Eeyla was just a girl. A mostly human girl. Tahlia wanted her to have the life a human could have. She changed herself to do that. Becoming part of human society and influencing humanity from within. Meanwhile providing a more or less normal human life for her daughter.

Daily Life

Tahlia has changed her life considerably since Eeyla came into her life. Choosing to live more like a human. She build a mansion at the place where Aurora was killed. This allows her to maintain Auroras lingering aura for as long as she lives there. Other than Tahlia herself, 2 others live in the mansion. Eeyla lives there, obviously. she gets picked up by a bus that conveniently passes by the mansions gate every day. Tahlia arranged for the bus to pass there. Other than that, Tahlia has a maid that cleans, cooks and does her chores. she lives in the house and Tahlia considers her a friend.
Tahlia worked herself up to become a tv-personality, a journalist, a talkshow host and an overall celebrity. as a journalist and talkshow host she is known to be extremely sharp and to put everyone who has something to hide on edge. She has convinced politicians to completely change their own policy live on air. Outside of her journalist and host work, Tahlia likes to just flaunt her beauty. She doesn't interact with many people but her just being somewhere will have everyone turn their heads towards her. This behavior gave her the nickname "princess" as she seems to act like she's royalty. She really likes this nickname.
Outside of her public work Tahlia is extremely well connected. thanks to her network of siblings that provide her information, she can influence almost anyone into doing anything she wants them to do. it's not something she will use often, but those that have been on the receiving end know not to ever deny her anything. Some of these have spread rumors. rumors about how she seems to know things and can get things done that nobody else could. Some people, usually desperate people, have attempted to visit Tahlia and ask for her help. and she happily provides, if those people help her in return. This exchange usually gives the visitor the idea that they lost something. While Tahlia keeps her word and helps them with whatever they asked, it always feels like Tahlia is gaining more from this exchange than the visitor is.

Personality

Tahlia isn't the nicest person to be around. She has a hard time relaxing. everything she does has purpose. This is mainly because of her biggest personality flaw: She's a control freak. Tahlia hasn't left her aura much in the past and this has made her reliant on her ability. She does not like when she does not know what the future will bring. Tahlia as a large collection of notes on what the future will bring. she spends a lot of time reading and writing these to meticulously plan every day. When Tahlia leaves her aura for a bit, she will always try and go from aura to aura, visiting her siblings but also tapping into their auras to feel safe. This controlling nature also translates to how she talks to other people. Tahlia dominates all her conversations. She will never just casually talk with anyone. She will have control with every word uttered. This makes it really unpleasant to talk to her. People who talk with her regularly know this all to well. Although, Eeyla has made her loose up a little bit.
Tahlia does not care about much. Basically, if it doesn't help herself, her daughter, her maid, or her siblings, she's not interested. She does have a sense of morality in that she will prevent harming anyone unless doing so will harm one of the things she cares about. or if it serves her plan to build a better future for mankind. but it rarely does.

Miscellaneous

• Tahlia's abilities aren't automatic. While maintaining her aura and the changes she made in it do not require her attention, detecting her aura does require concentration on her part. This does not limit her from doing other things while concentrating. But it does take some attention and she can be a little slow at times because of this. It has become second nature to her to maintain this concentration as much as possible though.
