About
Schafer is very much like myself. She is essentially me, but as a talking dog, instead of a person.
Their stature is short and chubby, with muscle build being focussed towards her arms, neck and shoulders. They often need to utilise mobility aids in order to function, and cannot handle doing new things without a trusted person nearby to help her handle the anxiety they get.
This section is mostly a WIP, as is their profile as a whole. I will update this as and when I can!

Schafer is a mixed bag to say the least. She's typically the most comfortable and at ease when they're with their friends and loved ones. If you were to meet them on the street, she'd be quiet, typically coming across shy and hiding behind whoever's with them, relying on them to direct discussion. Schafer tends to try and hold herself to a high standard, but they struggle with understanding others, as well as her own emotions and feelings. Schafer suffers with AuDHD, OCD and BPD, all of which are prevalent in her decision making and how they act on a day to day basis. To top it off, they're also suffering with hyper-mobility, meaning she often uses aids - such as their wheelchair or crutches - in order to mobilise on the days where she understands that it can't be helped. They're typically stubborn towards their afflictions, often ignoring the pain/discomfort they cause until it gets to a point of being overwhelming.
Schafer enjoys spending time doing their own thing, whether it be reading, doodling or sewing. She's also a talented caterer, thanks to spending half of their working life in the industry. If you can't find schafer, then definitely look for her in their 'den' - a section of their lounge that she's turned into a mini-room with the helpful placements of flags and bookshelves. If they're there, they'll be 'nesting', an activity she often does for comfort. It consists of surrounding themself with soft blankets, pillows and plushies from their vast plushie collection, creating an area that is not too far from an over-sized, soft bird's nest.

Appearance
Schafer is a scruffy, chubby German Shepherd. She has a sloping back and their tail often drags if they're not careful. Her ears are abnormally floppy, despite being perked, and are also slightly larger than average. Their gait is often more of a stumble with a limp than your typical gait. When drawn anthro, she can be occasionally drawn with her crutches or her wheelchair!
Their eyes are usually very expressive, and you can often tell how she's feeling if you know how to read them. She has a chipped right canine and is missing both of her rear pre-molars due to having no adult teeth coming through after they'd grown up. They also have a large scar, often hidden by fuzz, on their right wrist.
Lazarus: Boyfriend
Time known each other: 3+ YearsLazarus is Schafer's partner/boyfriend. He's known schafer for "yonks" as she'd put it and during their relationship, he's taught them to be kind to herself. Everlasting patience and gentleness have been some of the best things he's brought to the relationship - according to Schafer, that is. They regularly spend evenings cuddled up and watching shows, and when they curl up to sleep, Lazarus traces shapes and patterns across Schafer's back.
Zack: Best Friend
Time known each other: 2-4 yearsZack is one of Schafer's closest friends. He knows more about her than they know about themself, pretty much, and they often spend time together watching silly videos or commenting on Dashcam videos like they both know every single thing about being a great driver.
Noah: "Brother"
Time known each other: 10+ YearsNoah knows everything there is to know about Schafer, even if its stuff that she'd rather him not know. They have been the closest of friends since childhood and often joke they're the other's opposites, or even twins if they were a cat or dog respectively.
