Hollis Drury

appearance

• light tan skin
• thick, wavy, white hair that ends in light pink tips a couple inches past her shoulders

• thin with a small chest, and small-medium hips
• has a long, thin white tail with a tuft of fur at the end

She wears lots of pinks and pastels, usually dresses and gowns with a loose vintage look. Her jewelry is usually silver in color. In order to blend with humans, she uses her demonic magic to change appearance, losing her horns, tail, and unnaturally colored eyes. This takes up a lot of energy, and she can only maintain it for so long before becoming exhausted. She can disguise herself by changing her appearance completely, but this takes so much effort that she can only do it for a few minutes at most. When using magic her eyes glow white.

• her body has significant magical properties. her blood or other bodily fluids can be used as ichor, and she has a collection of excess teeth she had removed in her teens that can be used similarly.
• her horns are still growing, however big they will be depends on several variables.
• Hollis's tail can hold objects, albeit with a weak grip. it is strong enough to cause pain if she chose to whip it against someone. sometimes her emotions can be read based on movements of her tail.
• she usually carries a talisman made from the body of her father, the demon Paimon.

personality

Fairly cheerful and positive around others, though she can be off-putting because of her odd demeanor. Some assume she is untrustworthy or even malicious because of this. On the other hand, Hollis herself is trusting and impressionable. When around too many other people Hollis often becomes stressed, and occasionally panicked. Her verbal capabilities fluctuate and she has a tendency to hum or make noise. Hollis sleeps excessively, sometimes seems to be in a daze. She lacks a filter and will communicate odd, arbitrary concepts out of nowhere.

Though having difficulty staying still, Hollis moves more slowly than other people, and is easily overwhelmed or frustrated. When upset she tends to take it out physically upon herself, and because of her past, has a turbulent relationship with religion. Hollis drastically flips between devout christian and a spiteful hatred of god seemingly at random. She is entirely obsessed with the concept of holiness and, knowing her origins, despises herself. She has never met Paimon, and knows nothing about them other than them being a demon. She can be a bit self centered and clingy.

Hollis can sew and crochet, and wants to be a fashion designer. She likes to cook, is fairly skilled at it, and loves sweet and spicy foods. Many of the people close to her are aware she isn't human (some are not human themselves), therefore she doesn't disguise herself in their presence.

history

Hollis was born into the cult "God's Beloved" created and run by her mother, Maude Drury. Maude, a human, performed a ritual with the demon Paimon believing it would give her supernatural abilities. Instead, she became pregnant with Paimon's child, who would have the powers she desired. Despite the fact the situation didn't go according to plan, Maude didn't give up. Instead she used Hollis for her abilities, holding complete control over her. Growing up, Hollis never left the community grounds and her interaction with the outside world was nonexistent. She was frequently isolated, physically abused, and used ritualistically.

Maude's sister, Edith, learned of the cult and made it possible for Hollis to escape at age 17. Hollis has since remained under her care financially and learned more about her own existence through a witch friend of Edith's, Aspen. She became partners with Mars, Aspen's younger sibling. Hollis and Mars have recently begun living together.
