Tori

[ girlfriend ]

Edith is her girlfriend. They started off as childhood friends and playmates at first. Well, they had to quit being playmates once Edith had accidentally broken Tori’s arm one day while activating her Gamma abilities for the first time. At first, Tori had thought Edith harmed her on purpose, but once she realized that it was an accident, she wanted to help reassure and comfort her friend. It all began when Edith had been crying tears of remorse near Tori’s side, in the hospital room that Tori had been put in for the time being. Tori had a hold of all of her hands, and before Edith could react, she reenacted something that she once saw on TV that she thought would be a comforting thing to do. At the time, Tori’s understanding of romantic-coded gestures wasn’t completely developed yet, and she figured that all of this would be platonic just because they’re two girls and they’re kids anyway. But basically, she leaned in and tried to help kiss all of Edith’s tears away before kissing her full on the lips. Edith was surprised, to say the least, and before Tori could ask if what she did made her uncomfortable, Edith kissed Tori back on the cheek. From there, this sort of became like a routine, where, every time Edith would feel upset or get frustrated, Tori would kiss her eyes before pecking her on the lips, all while under the assumption that this was a platonic thing to do because she didn’t think her feelings for Edith were anything else but platonic.

She never considered herself to be not straight, so she never considered that possibility at all. Meanwhile, Edith was painfully aware of her growing romantic feelings for Tori as they were growing up. Even if Tori had a better understanding of romance by the time they were older, she would still kiss Edith’s eyes and then lastly on the lips whenever she sensed that her friend was distressed. That made Edith’s little gay heart ache. From there, this would build up, until finally, once Tori started dating boys as she grew older, Edith had to get her feelings off her chest. At the time, Tori was already taken and had a boyfriend, so she was sad with having to reject Edith since it wouldn’t be fair to the guy she was already seeing. Edith, however, told Tori that she didn’t think she could handle being her friend anymore since her feelings were that intense. Tori got sad and there was some distance placed in between them for a while because she didn’t know what to do with that information. It wasn’t until she broke up with her boyfriend and allowed for some time to pass did Tori finally confirm that perhaps she wanted to giving dating Edith try. She was all Tori thought about these days. Eventually, after reaching out to Edith about her feelings, they decided to give dating a try and slowly but surely, they managed to make it work. Currently, Edith is happy to have her as her girlfriend. She's gotten over the initial shock of actually dating Tori. Edith is a little bit more vocal when it comes to affection, since physical affection makes her a very flustered.

London

[ friend...? ]

London is someone Edith somehow befriended after sort of getting beat up by her. Edith didn't like London at first. She felt envious of London since she can be friends with Tori without pesky romantic feelings popping up. At the time, Edith distanced herself with Tori because Edith felt like it would hurt too much to stay being friends. Sometimes Edith would look longingly at Tori from afar, but London would take that in a whole different way. She thought Edith was a threat, with the ability of taking Tori back as her 'best friend'. As a result, London started picking on Edith. She tried to ignore it at first but after some time, she confronted London. London was stubborn about her reasons and she and Edith ended up in a real messy scuffle for a hot second. Edith refused to fight back, considering she didn't want to actually hurt London. Tori had to intervene and stop London. Much to Edith's surprise, London came up to her and apologized after some time, and soon enough, to Tori too. London learned to accept Edith around since she did find out that Edith wasn't trying to take her place as a best friend, Edith was trying to be Tori's girlfriend. Nowadays, they're on much better terms, probably closer friends too.
