Elisha

Mourning

Elisha turns up when the need is great, in the aftermath of great conflict or suffering. He doesn't hesitate to offer his assistance and medical knowledge, and not only heals but strengthens and amplifies whatever he touches.

A bright and friendly demeanor quickly gives way to an invasive curiosity and, sometimes, a deep craving for violence. A benefactor of the Fatui, he's obsessed with the development of living weapons, and chases after the illusion of strength.

Aside from his optimism and impulsive desire to help, one quickly becomes acquainted with Elisha's morbid sense of humor and lack of respect for boundaries.

He knows that his mannerisms can be distressing, and takes a great interest in observing people, their feelings, and their motivations. It makes him good at making arguments and attempting persuasion, but he has a difficult time truly empathizing. This frustrates him to no end, as it's the only thing that seems to get in the way of him always getting the results that he wants among those he actually cares about.

Elisha was a mortician's son, and his mother fell into a self induced near-death state when he was young. His father forced him to practice on his own mother's body, but she revived from her drugged stupor partway through- convincing him he had actually brought her back to life. Years down the road when he nearly faced death himself, he simply willed himself to re-alive-- gaining his vision and slipping through the jaws of death.

He continues to defy death to this day, fascinated with re-animation and crafting living weapons from the body parts of creatures and even allogenes. He's contributed a sizeable amount of work to the Fatui's endeavors in the development of delusions, making users themselves more resistant to the ravaging effects of the magic.
