Rahim is just a chill, normal employee trying to live the rest of life in peace. He had quite a rough unbringing, as he was born in a home of religious extremists who were very unpredictable with their treatments of him. He moved out for college and his life was pretty nice there as he crushed on a guy, but it was chaotic as soon as he returned to Egypt and getting engaged to Akila, a woman who abused rahim to the point of him killing her in self defense at some point. After years of suffering, he moved to the US wnd settled there, trying to cope with what happened. At least he reunites with his crush and eventual boyfriend.
Rahim, while appearing very tough and having a constant cold, unwelcoming aura, he is a very gentle and soft man who tries his best. He can have his rude and snarky moments, but he tries his best to fit in and show some empathy for others to make more friends and at least have some peace. He also completely detached himself from religion, hating it due to the way he was raised. He does his best to be friendly, but still will beat you to a pulp if you were to mess with him.
