Always equipped with a disarming smile, the boy with the pretty face may seem like a well-mannered young master, may act like a well-mannered young master, but was actually quite the opposite of this depiction. In reality, he is a pampered, egotisical, and sly young master who has a silver tongue capable to twist others to do his bidding. Anything he desired, he'd stop at nothing to obtain. Even if the situation seem futile, Wu Yingfei would make sure he obtained something from the situation. After all, he was the son of merchants, and no one was more sharp-witted than those with greed in their eyes.
Backstory
Yingfei is the son of flourishing jewelry merchants. He strongly supports the Ying (Jade) Establishment because he cares about his family and also because “more money for the family means more money in my pocket!” He takes pride in the family business and also participates in discussions regarding sales and possible contracts. His parents welcome his enthusiasm and do not belittle his ideas, actually thinking them through and pointing out the flaws and the good points. Sometimes, dinner would turn into a business meeting unintentionally.
He has a younger brother (Yingxue 瑩雪, 8) and a younger sister (Yinghua 樱花, 6). Yingfei likes to use them as models for his drawings and to promote the accessories his family makes. They sadly have to put up with him because he claims that they have to respect him as the oldest (but they do find it fun to pose/get dressed up, so it’s a win-win situation in the end!) He would dress them up and take them on a “stroll” to get people interested in their goods. Of course, he would also wear some, but it’s much cuter when young kids do it. Yingfei also wears female accessories and doesn’t mind it since “it all looks good on me anyway.” Wherever he goes, Yingfei carries around some of their family jewelry in a handmade jewelry box, always on the lookout for potential customers.
Prologue
When he heard about the exchange program, his eyes immediately brightened as it was the perfect chance to get more (gullible) customers! That thought, along with a large amount of pocket money from his parents and a guarantee that they could ride in a carriage the entire way, made Yingfei force his younger siblings to pack his bag and set off for the Fuzanglong Hot Spring.
