Mystva

Father of Amast, step-father of Sadal

The comic takes place before he had children. Its after he became king 

At one point he chops his hair really short but then regrets a lot and never cuts it again 

 Basic background 

(Super basic outline, I'll add more as I figure it out) 

The kingdom had a coup because the previous ruler was a tyrant. Mystva controlled the coup from the background and once the revolution was a success, the person the public thought started the rebellion and controlled it declared Mystva as the true ruler. He made him seem like it was a divine decision that was meant to be, so the public accepted him as the next king, knowing only good things about him. He wasn't a nobody in the kingdom before the revolution, he helped a lot of people survive and gave the wrongly accused refuge. His family was religious and in charge of one of the churches in the kingdom, although he wasn't very religious himself after seeing how the world was really like outside of the church. This background helped with the 'divine king' argument to the public and since him and his family helped so many of them in their times of need they readily accepted him as the next king. He was about 27 when he took the throne.
Later in his rule he met a princess who had a small strange child, ended up marrying her and adopting her son. A year later he had his own child with her. For some reason his son turned out to be more of a brat than his step-son. A very irritating, stubborn brat. 

Even as an adult, his son Amast is a very irritating, stubborn brat. He doesn't trust that kid to rule the kingdom and is leaning more toward giving Sadal the right to rule for when he dies. A good plan is to have Amast as the 'face' of the king while Sadal actually rules but that'll only work if Amast can work along with his step-brother for once. Mystva does love Amast but that kid is a piece of work and irritating to deal with half the time. 

He's pretty independant for royalty and likes to do things himself. He's also usually very relaxed when dealing with others unless Amast is found getting into trouble. Which happens way too often. 

Abilities: 

Paralyzing stare: Can paralyze someone (usually in fear, it'll work regardless though) as long as he stares them down with all 3 of his eyes. It only works when he has the intent to stop them in their tracks. The target doesn't necessarily have to be looking at him to be stopped in their tracks.
Puppeteer: Can control the body of someone he has paralyzed for a limited amount of time. It takes a lot of concentration on how he wants the body to move. Usually only uses this when he's really angry at the person (usually Amast) to keep them from escaping a discussion or interrogation.
