Have you ever felt like something was... out of place? But you just... couldn't quite put your finger on it? Something out of the ordinary, strange... uncanny even. Like a weirdly shaped stone, or a twisted knotted tree, or even a perplexing fish behaving oddly. If so, you may have already encountered Tipua. He is a shapeshifting creature, who takes the forms of uncanny and peculiar things. His favorite form to shift too, are rocks or stones, as they go the most unnoticed. He often shapeshifts into a stone when travelers come through the woods, and he watches them... sometimes they never notice. However, occasionally travelers will look around, frenzied and paranoid, certain that something is askew. You may notice that Tip is missing a leg.... it may grow back. It may not. He lost it recently after being kicked in a rock form, by a very hateful traveler. But don't worry... Tip got his revenge...

If you notice something strange or have an uncanny feeling, the best thing to do is make an offering to Tipua and let him know you feel his presence. While he isn't normally a violent spirit, giving him offerings keeps him at bay and makes him more likely to stop watching you. It is said that in places where the forest has been neglected and treated poorly by mankind, Tipua can be more.... threatening. However, if you show him that you acknowledge him and that you wish no harm to the land, Tipua should vanish soon after. _{(Bio by ReconsideringArt)}
