Kovar is the successor to the former leader of the Yiga Clan after he met his demise in his fight against the ancient hero who had come to their hideout to take back the Thunderhelm.
Since then, he has vowed to show no mercy to the risen hero and hopes to finally put an end to him before he has a chance of bringing an end to the might of Calamity Ganon
He takes things very seriously and has little love for those that don't follow his rules or try to abandon the clan. However, he does have a soft spot for Norvus. His apprentice that he treats as son/younger brother due to his single father wanting nothing to do with him.
Everything that he has planned for his clan's future would be going more smoothly if it wasn't for Dragmire being a consent thorn in his plans.
(He is the main antaigonst in the BOTW AU I written for a fanfic)

Backstory
Was adopted long ago when he was abandoned when he was just a kid. He was saved by the Yiga Clan and raised by a blademaster named Korge after he took pity on him.
All of his fighting skills were thanks to his father figure's hard work as his mentor.
One day, he was given a task by his former master, Kohga, to investigate a male Gerudo who had been spotted travelling Hyrule alone.
Although he originally was planning to capture him, his mind was distracted often by Dragmire's friendly behaviour towards him. He felt like a friend that Kovar never had.
He often wrote down false reports saying that his encounters with him would always leave to him slipping away. In reality, he used this as an excuse to get to know this strange gerudo on a personal level.
But some friendships couldn't last forever. As much as Kovar had tried to get Dragmire to join the Yiga Clan when they reached teenhood and came face to face with his clan, Dragmire refused since his own mother had been slain by a member of the clan and had no intentions of serving under the chaotic entity known as Calamity Ganon.
The once young and naïve Kovar vowed that he would never open his heart again to those outside of the ways of the clan.
Today, he rules over the Yiga Clan and vows to finally destroy his former friend.
Korge
[ Right Hand Of The Inverted Eye ] A decedent of Sooga, he is the foster father of Kovar and is second in command of the clan. He takes his job very seriously as well as keeping Kovar's anger levels in check
Norvus
[ Apprentice ] A young foot soldier shunned by his own father that considered him a weakling. He's quite a good archer despite not being as strong as other members of the clan, Kovar sees a lot of his younger self in the boy
Niles
[ Senior Blademaster ] The father of Norvus and a blademaster still salty over Kovar getting the role of leader instead of him. He doesn't like Kovar very much despite being loyal to his clan
Dragmire
[ Mortal Enemies ] Formally a friend when they were kids. Their different beliefs have turned them into enemies that Kovar can't stand
