Fire On Fire

I 01: Write out this character's personality
"Spunk" doesn't even begin to describe Andromeda. She's got moxie enough for ten lions her size. Most lions she meets comment that she needs to calm down, though that usually doesn't go over well. Andromeda's stubborn too, and once she's got an idea in her head, she won't let it go. She will be right, by goodness, no matter what it takes to prove her point.
Andromeda does not like to be told she can't do something. She takes it as a personal challenge and will do everything it takes to prove she can do it. This has gotten her in trouble with the authorities multiple times, though Andromeda doesn't really care. She believes that laws are there to hold people back from achieving their full potential. Well, if her limited potential includes being able to leap off three-story buildings and swim across raging rapids, the authorities don't even want to see that "full potential".
Fiercely protective, Andromeda will fight to the death to protect those she cares about. However, she has a bad habit of holding on too tightly. She doesn't mean to do it, but just how can she let someone make a bad decision when there's such a better alternative? Most lions don't appreciate her brutal honesty. Andromeda doesn't like beating around the bush; she will tell it like it is, no matter the subject matter.
Most lions don't see many positive qualities in Andromeda, but they're there, perhaps just buried beneath her sarcasm and standoffishness. She's incredibly loyal, standing by those she loves until the end. The bonds she has are strong, and she tries her best to be gentle around her sister and mother. (Her friends are fair game for friendly insults, but not her sister.) Her dark sense of humor can actually be quite enjoyable, when the time is taken to appreciate it.
I 03: Write this character's backstory, how they came to join the territory (or if they were born into it) how their childhood made them who they are
Andromeda was born as the result of a temporary relationship between Nova and Atlas, a member of the New Guard. Once Andromeda and her three siblings were old enough to travel, Nova took them on a quest to find their father. But when they finally tracked Atlas down, Atlas explained that he had never wanted a family, and he hadn't even expected to see Nova again. Andromeda was old enough to understand that this so-called father was abandoning her. Nova asked Atlas to look after two of their cubs, despite the circumstances. Andromeda was devastated by the loss of her sister Polaris and brother Orion, leaving Andromeda with only Cassiopeia for companionship.
Nova wandered for a while after that. Andromeda grew quickly, blossoming into a fine young moonfolk with a taste for adventure. She quickly learned how to moon-shift, discovering that she was able to shapeshift into more powerful versions of the normal forms. It was at this time that the oppression of moonfolk increased; knowing the chaos of the cities, Nova kept their little family unit to the wilderness, surviving with no outside help.
When Andromeda was about ten moons old, guardsmen discovered their residence and fought to capture them. Andromeda fought back for all she was worth, but they were ultimately defeated and brought to the Summitfall fortress. Andromeda struggled every step of the way, resisting every move that the opposite party made. She was a rebellious soul, and from the moment she got into the fortress she's been looking for her escape.
As a young teenager, she was recruited by an underground rebellion, lurking underneath the surface of the fortress. Andromeda learned that there were other moonfolk here who shared her worldview, that no one should be locked away. When they discovered who and what she was, she was immediately treated with respect and given a strong foothold in the rebellion.
&nbs  Andromeda has had some less than wonderful experiences with the staff. Some of the staff members are impartial towards moonfolk, but others outright hate them. (There are a rare few that are willing to help moonfolk in any way they can, but they're few and far between.) Andromeda's butted heads with both of the extremes, her worst experience being with the guard Azure. (That being said, most of her relationships with the guards have long been trashed thanks to her many escape attempts. She went through a phase where she would try and get out almost every night; nothing good came of it except cell time, and she ended up making a lot of enemies in the process.) Azure had a prideful streak a mile wide, and when they got into a debate, it didn't take long for claws to come out. Andromeda still bears scars from that fight, though she wears them as badges of honor.

Morals

I(b) 10: Write about this character's morality system. What do they see as good, and what do they see as wrong? What is most important at both ends of this spectrum to them? 700 word minimum

Free-spirited
Spunky
Confident
Loyal
Protective
Tomboyish
Blunt
Rude
Reckless
Smothering
Ambitious
Proud

Don't try to play games with me. Don't ever, ever think you're capable of that.

I09: What does this character view as their greatest enemy, whether internally or externally?
Andromeda's greatest enemy is the entire staff of the fortress. They're all the same in her eyes (almost; there are a couple she can tolerate), all opinionated and prejudiced against moonfolk like her. Her worst quarrels are with the guards, the ones who always stop her from getting the freedom she so rightfully deserves. She hates every single one of them for keeping her imprisoned against her will. They haven't made any effort to mend their relationships either; more often than not, they trade insults with her in passing. Andromeda has to admit that her least favorite out of everyone is the head of military, Vera. She absolutely despises that lioness for everything she's done against moonfolk. In Andromeda's eyes, Vera is evil and needs justice to be served. That being said, every moonfolk in the fortress could use some justice. Being held against their will isn't exactly the best lot in life, especially when it's forced upon someone.

A Moonfolk Among Lions

I04: Explain this character's role in their group or home. How do they contribute (or not contribute?).
Andromeda's role in the fortress isn't exactly an official one. She's just one of the many moonfolk being held against their will behind the tall stone walls. The fortress is designed to allow moonfolk to practically take an extended, lifelong vacation, with a pool to swim in and multiple activities to participate in. If someone behaves, they might even get a chance to apprentice under one of the staff and learn a new skill. But A) Andromeda is not interested in spending more time than she has to around opinionated lions, and B) their dumb skills aren't even worth learning. She's got all the knowledge she needs, and can take care of herself with her own two paws. She's got no need to clean rooms or try whipping up some fancy recipe. The days are long, but Andromeda busies herself by working on mental escape plans and secretly crafting weapons. Even so, she does have days where she feels there's nothing to do.
I(b) 6: How did this character earn their role in their group? Has it always been their designated place? 700 word minimum

I23: Is this character religious/superstitious, do they believe in fantasy or aliens? Or are they based harshly in reality? 150 word minimum
Andromeda believes that superstitions are stupid. Just because you walk by a black cat doesn't mean you're instantly unlucky. The whole concept of luck is just a waste of time for her. Come on, an upside down horseshoe pouring out luck? Lame. As for religion, no deity or heavenly being has ever appeared to her, so why should she believe that they exist? She's much more concerned with what she can see and feel with her own two paws, rather than some make-believe mystery lion in the stars. She's long since learned that reality is the only thing that exists. Back when she was a cub, Andromeda was fooled into believing that myths and legends were real, and that those things really happened. She even went so far as to assume that they would happen to her one day. But when she didn't sprout wings after jumping off a tall boulder, and didn't get to meet any legendary warriors, her circumstances convinced her that they were just stories.

Turning Point

I(b) 7: Elaborate about a time this character learned a harsh lesson, or suffered an extreme turning point in their life. 700 word minimum

I06: What is this character's biggest fear or nightmare? 150 word minimum
Andromeda's greatest fear is that she'll end up trapped in the fortress forever. She hates being held captive, and the fact that she's not been able to escape for this long has slowly been chipping away at her resolve. She can't stop trying to get out, can't let herself stay here, or else her fear will overwhelm her. She's constantly needing to find ways to keep herself busy and focused toward her goal, lest she collapse under the weight of her anxiety. But a close second to her main fear is that of the new "treatment" that the medical staff has been developing. Andromeda's not certain of the details, but she knows that whatever they're doing with it is absolutely evil. She's heard rumors that it removes a moonfolk's ability to shift, and strips them of their powers for good. The thought that her second form could disappear forever chills her.
I05: What is this character's biggest dream/goal? 150 word minimum
Andromeda's biggest dream is liberating every moonfolk from oppression. Persecution against her kind has gone on long enough, and it's time to put a stop to it. Andromeda firmly believes that moonfolk have a basic right to life and freedom, just like normal lions. She hates it when everyone assumes that moonfolk are dangerous monsters; harsh generalizations like that are what have driven the rift between lions and moonfolk in the first place. Some moonfolk believe the key to ending oppression is through forging peace with the leaders of lion prides and organizations. However, Andromeda believes that the best way to obtain her desired freedom is to break down every single stone of the fortress, then wage war against the neighboring prides for allowing this to happen. Such cruel treatment of living beings going on right under their noses, and they've done nothing to stop it. At the end of the day, Andromeda just wants her own kind to be free.

Incident

I(b) 9: Someone deals a great harm to this character, when confronted, they claim it was an accident. Does your character believe them? How do they respond?

I13: How does this character handle disrespect or insults? 150 word minimum
Needless to say, Andromeda does not handle insults well. Most often, she responds with some of her own, sometimes accompanied with a slash to the face, depending on the intensity. Every moonfolk in the fortress knows not to try insulting her for whatever reason, but some of the newer guards like being able to push Andromeda's buttons. A few kerfluffles and a couple fistfights later, let's just say that Andromeda's put an end to their shenanigans. As far as disrespect goes... it's more a lack of respect in general that gets to her. Pretty much every staff member in the fortress is fed up with her, and often just ignores her in their attempt to get their duties done and get out as fast as possible. Andromeda's just fine with that, and ignores them for the most part too. She doesn't need respect from these stuck-up lions anyway; she's got plenty of respect from her part in the rebellion.
I07: What does this character's name mean/where did it come from? 150 words minimum
Andromeda's name comes from an ancient mythological figure. Given her past experience with mythology, Andromeda is less than thrilled to have a name that's been used in a story. Especially this one. The legend goes that the mythological Andromeda was part of an ancient pride of warriors. They swore to protect and defend the earthly prides from the beasts that roamed the mortal plane. But Andromeda refused to do so, instead taking a mate from the ranks of male warriors. The deities were unhappy with her and stripped her of her status, separating her from her mate and casting her down to the mortal plane, leaving only her sword with her. Andromeda did her best to survive, but some of the more vindictive deities made her life hard. They sent challenge after challenge her way, and with her sword by her side, she conquered them all, defeating every beast that dared defy her might. Finally one of the overlords decided that enough was enough, and took away Andromeda's sword. She soon died, torn apart by wild animals.
I17: How does this character respond to being wrong? 150 minimum
Andromeda does not react well to being wrong. Depending on the event, she can have a scale of reactions. The most minor is the "eye-roll and ignore" technique. She just pretends that the whole conversation didn't happen, or walks away from whatever she ruined. Even if someone calls out after her, she just exits the situation. Next on the scale is the obvious refusal. Common phrases include "Uh, no", "No I didn't", and "What are you talking about? Of course I'm right". A little higher up is the argument. She'll say and do whatever it takes to prove that she's right, even if her logic is flimsy. All that matters is that the other person admits that Andromeda's right. The volume generally stays at a normal level. But if things become really heated, then we come to the last and final reaction, the tackle-slash-screaming-match. Andromeda has only had a few of these incidents, but they're quite memorable.

Parenthood

I(b) 8: Write about this character's views on parenthood. What do they think the role of a parent is? do they want to be a parent someday? Do they have a good parental relationship themselves? 700 words minimum

I14: What is this character's greatest strength? 150 word minimum
Andromeda’s greatest strength is her own physical abilities. Not just the amount of muscle she has on her, though, but the innate ability inside her. As a moonfolk, she shifts into another form during the full moon. What makes Andromeda different from other moonfolk is her connection with the moon, and the strength of her moonform. While shifted, Andromeda grows taller and physically stronger. No one in the fortress has as powerful a moonform as she does. Andromeda takes pride in the fact that she’s going to be the savior of every moonfolk trapped behind the fortress walls. However, her pride in her skills can lead to her taking risks that normal lions wouldn’t take. She’s almost gotten herself killed multiple times by ideas for escape that have turned up empty. It’s not easy to convince her that she needs to slow down, though; Andromeda wants to do whatever she can to prove that she’s the savior others are depending on her to be. Nevertheless, she knows that when she’s in her secondary form, she’s the most powerful she’ll ever be.
I15: What is this character's greatest weakness? 150 word minimum
Andromeda’s greatest weakness is her emotions. No matter how strong she is physically and mentally, her emotions are the one thing that can make or break her. She hates the fact that she can’t shut them off when she wants to; feeling guilty about trying to escape doesn’t help anyone. She also doesn’t like the fact that her emotions can be appealed to. She despises people who try to guilt-trip her, and she hates that she can’t immediately say no. It’s also very aggravating when a lion’s romantically interested in her. She’s not interested in a relationship, and yet her dumb emotions keep prompting her to not turn him down and hurt his feelings. As time’s gone on, it’s been harder and harder to resist her emotions and just keep forging forward. Already being a lion set on efficiency, the fact that these annoying feelings stop her from getting things done is extremely aggravating.
