Ngona spent much of her early childhood in an orphanage on Pantora. When a strange woman showed up under the guise of adopting her, Ngona felt her evil intent and fled through the streets of her town. Stowing away on a cargo ship, she ended up on the planet of Orto Plutonia, where she was taken in and cared for by the local Talz. A short time later, Jocasta Nu arrived to bring her to the Jedi Temple, where she felt at home for the first time in her life.
During her Padawan years, Ngona was trained by her master Noyali Ehda. When she graduated to the rank of Jedi Knight, she asked Noyali to bestow a design upon her for the traditional golden Pantoran facial tattoos - the designs are usually passed down through families, but Ngona never knew her birth family's design. Noyali chose to give Ngona a tattoo that matched her own facial markings.
Currently, Ngona is the general in charge of the 425th Battalion in the Grand Army of the Republic. It's mainly a noncombat division, focusing on things like research, reconnaisance and information gathering.
Ngona is kind and gentle and loves to learn. Intelligent and resourceful, she prefers to think things out before making a decision. She's also very stubborn and refuses to give up on anything once she's made up her mind.
Ngona has medium blue skin and her eyes are a golden yellow. She keeps her soft lilac hair very short. Her gold tattoo is a streak across her nose leading into three dots below her left eye. She wears a necklace which was a gift from the Talz tribe she stayed with for a time - it's a carved narglatch tooth pendant.
- Since she doesn't know her birth family, she chose her surname ('ia'ua) herself. It can be translated either as "child of no one" or "child of the stars" thanks to Pantoran wordplay.
- Her favorite color is sunset orange.
- She's not sure what day she was born, so she celebrates her birthday as the day she came to the Jedi Temple to start her new life.

Noyali Ehda Ngona's master when she was a Padawan. Ngona still looks to her for guidance whenever she's unsure or needs some help. She loves to visit her at work in the Jedi Archives, where she can study whatever she wants and help out around the library.
Commander Ducky The commander of the 425th, Ngona's clone trooper battalion. Ngona thinks of Ducky and her other troopers as brothers and is very protective of them. Ducky is always at her side to support her in any situation.
Chips Always ready with a joke or pun, Chips is also very dependable and can be serious if the situation calls for it. Ngona employs him for reconnaisance especially. He's also there to cheer her up whenever she's feeling down.
Lex Ngona's best strategist. She also loves sharing knowledge with him since they both read a lot and love to learn. She has helped him further his knowledge of the Pantoran language and he's now fluent in it.
Blender Ngona and Blender love hanging out together and discussing many things, including Pantoran cuisine. He's also taught her a lot of techniques and tips for hand-to-hand combat.
Tipo T1-P0, Ngona's astromech droid. She picked him up from a market on a planet she was visiting shortly after attaining the rank of Knight and he's been by her side ever since.
