Some basic information to note:

This here ginger is dead when Spirited begins. He's a ghosty boy. I just draw him alive once every few millennia.

Physical description (Alive) :

• Curly, ginger hair

• Intensely polluted by freckles over every single part of his body

• Fair skinned

• Large, diamond-shaped brilliant blue eyes

• Diamond-shaped face

• Strong cheekbones with sallow cheeks

• Large, straight nose

• Smol mouth (average lips, I guess)

• 4' 11"

• Extremely petite and skinny (very underweight)

• Covered in scars (mostly arms and back)

• Resting bitch face

•(Not technically a physical description, but Amos has got himself a really heckin thick Glaswegian accent. He's very difficult to understand most of the time, as the accent paired with his tendency to mutter under his breath make it VERY hard to discern what he's saying.)

Spectral description:

• Even thinner and more sickly looking

• No legs, just a spooky ghost tail

• Apparition is monochrome blue (Same blue as eyes)

Clothing:

• White collared lace-up tunic that's WAY too big

• Dark brownish green oilskin macintosh coat that's even more WAY too big (hand sewn pockets on the inside), hangs slightly past his knees

• Bandaged arms

(These are not applicable to his ghostly apparition, but I'm including it anyways)

• Olive green trousers that are again, WAY too big, so he wraps fabric around his ankles to keep from tripping on them and has a tightly cinched belt to help keep them on (has mismatched patches all over them)

• Brown suspenders

• Standard old-timey ankle boots

Personality:

Amos is kind of a big, anxious wreck of bad memories, saltiness, and anxiety. Amos has Tourette's Syndrome, which was undiagnosed at the time of the story he's in. Since this is the mid-1800's, there's not a lot of acceptance when it comes to difference, so Amos has faced a lot of people who misunderstand why he is the way he is. He's gone through a lot of mistreatment and bullying, causing him to have a lot of issues with trusting others.

Amos has a lot of issues with anxiety. He always had a fairly anxious personality, but the constant barrage of negativity and neglect really worsened his state of mind. He worries about every possible thing, and is constantly afraid of bad things happening and the worst possible thing being reality. He's quite jumpy, skittish, and generally mistrustful of everything and everyone, so he tries to stay away from other people at all costs. Constantly wary, Amos will even keep his distance from those closest to him.

Amos constantly blames himself for bad things happening, and feels guilt of things that he really shouldn't. He's very reserved and introverted, usually keeping to himself, as to not inconvenience anyone else in any way. He has pretty much no sense of self worth and is always upset with himself for just BEING HIMSELF. His tics make it very hard for him to enjoy much of anything and end up frustrating him so much that he can't even speak and simply breaks down.

Once he opens up, Amos is actually quite witty and sarcastic. He's very calculative and intelligent, which fuels his love for reading and writing. Amos is remarkably creative and a very good problem solver, though many a time his genius solutions are simply ignored.  However, he's quite used to being ignored, so he tends to avoid speaking, most of all speaking his mind. He is known to mutter, and even when he decides to speak his mind, his accent is very thick and he is quite hard to understand. It is often questioned whether the salty lad is even speaking English. Despite this, Amos is actually very good with words and has a quick wit and a sharp tongue, and loves to be extremely sarcastic. Amos is the king of witty comebacks.

Amos is rather irritable and "feisty". He gets sick of everyone's (especially Lou's) bullshit and begins to get very grumpy very quickly. He is quite stubborn and tends to be very combative when he is comfortable with someone. Louis absoloutly loves getting on his nerves because he's really easy to irritate and will argue with some very intelligent comebacks. His very small stature, mop of ginger hair, and him being Scottish all lead to him being called feisty wee thing or a little spitfire, which makes him EVEN MORE feisty than usual and is a really easy way to get on his nerves.

However scared of people he may be, he still wants to help others and deep down is a very compassionate and considerate individual. He really worries about letting people down and constantly feels as though he's a burden. He really loves helping others and is very patient and kind, even though it may take a lot of coaxing to get him to show this side of himself. He would NEVER admit that he cared about people like Louis though. It's a little too much to ask of him to say that out loud.

Backstory:

Amos ends up immigrating to America with only $10 in his pocket, a journal, and the clothes on his back. He's running away from his old life in hopes of finding happiness and escape from judgement and hatred. He finds himself in New York, lost, scared, too anxious to ask for help, and facing the same glares he got back home. As he wanders his way through the streets of New York with a crude, hand-drawn map in his hands given to him my a man on the ferry over, he's suddenly stopped dead in his tracks by a tall, blonde man with a very crooked nose covered in dirt and soot. Full of mistrust and fear, Amos tries to continue on his way, but the man is very insistent, finally grabbing Amos' arm and dragging him through the city. Amos, of course, absolutely hates the attention and the man scares him with his exuberance, charisma, and sarcasm. After the man drags poor Amos everywhere, he deems Amos his friend. However, Amos definitely doesn't feel the same way, but he doesn't have the courage to admit it.

After a bit of a spat, the two boys, both stubborn as could be, then go their separate ways. Amos heads South, looking to join the milliary. Though Amos was only 4' 11" and weighed less than 80 pounds, the General takes a liking to his humble nature and quick wit. Months of brutal training full of nasty remarks and hatred from his fellow trainees finally pay off, and Amos becomes a scout and sets off on the Oregon trail, hoping to get far away from everyone else. After months of the grueling trip filled with frustration and grief, Amos finds his already malnourished self with cholera, and soon dies from it.

Though Amos hated his wagon train with a burning passion, as a scout, it was his duty to guide them to Oregon, so as a spirit, he follows the travelers and helps them along on their journey in any way his ghostly self could. After finally bringing the group to Oregon, Amos realizes that the blonde man is really the only person that ever showed him ANY bit of kindness, so Amos makes his way back to him.  Badda bing, badda boom, that's where the story begins.
