About
Syx is what some would call a troubled youth. Rebellious, sharp-tongued, and impolite, he was never one to bow his head meekly to authority. In fact, he seems to thrive off of that kind of confrontation and attracts it to him like a magnet. Trust and respect are incredibly hard-earned from him, and he doesn't have patience for the status quo.
Syx is also infamously moody. Prone to long bouts of sullen moping, brooding by himself, he wears his heart on his sleeves. This isn't for lack of trying. He really does try to mask his feelings, but he can't help but blow up when he's frustrated, or carry a cloud of gloom with him when he's melancholy. But music is so deeply ingrained in his self that it's also his primary way of expressing his feelings. He'll sit in the dark, sadly plucking chords on his guitar, or slam a screeching riff in a moment of anger. It's like second nature.
Before "Last Breath"
Syx wasn't always so troublesome. As a young, young child, he was even quite happy. But some time around his turn into pre-teendom, something happened, and his attitude changed. His parents, at wit's end with the constant sneaking out, getting into trouble, back-talking, turned to their last option - boarding school.
Not just any boarding school, though. Religious, correctional boarding school. Ugh. That is, it would be more accurate to say that he was sent to study in a temple to Bahamut that specialized in giving structure and discipline to problematic children and teens. Quite unfortunately for his parents, though, it would only serve to make him trust authority less and resent it more.
Syx did gain something from his time in Bahamut's clutches, though. Drawn to each other like kindred spirits, he met four other young dragonborn that had similar mindsets and also a shared interest - music. It was in secret within the halls of Bahamut's temple that the grungey punk band "Last Breath" was born. It was a desperate escape from the rigid and overbearing place they now lived in.
Relationships
Last Breath [ band (former) ]
“We built something beautiful together, and then they threw me away like trash. Fuck 'em all. They can get as famous as they want, but they've lost the soul of what Last Breath really was, what it stood for. I hope it was worth becoming fuckin' sellouts.”
