Double Felix

I have no pictures but I must write.

(His name is not actually Double Felix, this is to distinguish him from the other Felix in my characters and the pun was too good to pass up).

Felix is one person who is.... two. Not one body with two personalities, but one personality with two bodies. His two bodies share sensation and mind no matter the distance, co-ordinating like the left and right hand of one person.
Felix is a member of the Yes You Can Carnival: a travelling entertainment group that subtly serves as a refuge for supernatural oddities of all kinds. He is a general odd-job worker and with his friendly face(s) often interacts directly with patrons as a ticket collector or manning a booth (or two). He is friendly and pleasant on the surface but has a sly streak and is one of the more intelligent members of the carnival, and often participates in meetings and discussions. Each body is able to perform separate tasks simultaneously, but he has to split his attention to do so and may fumble if the tasks are too complex, like trying to do different things with each hand at the same time. He finds it very difficult to have two conversations at the same time, and will usually alternate sentences between bodies. Most of the time, Felix's two halves stick together and work co-operatively, having the appearance of identical twins who never leave each other's side.

It's unknown how Felix became the way he is: he is human but has clearly been touched by something supernatural. He could be twins with a psychic link so powerful that even they can't separate each other, but the extreme identical-ness of the two bodies (down to the placement of moles and wrinkles) indicates something else is perhaps at play. His first memory is of waking up inside a huge clay urn... two clay urns... and breaking out to find himself in a strange study full of books and bizarre symbols drawn all over the floor. There was nobody there, and nobody ever showed up to meet him. With only vague simple knowledge like how to speak and dress himself, Felix eventually sealed the study and emerged to find his way in the world as two people, until he encountered the carnival and joined. Felix has no special abilities but seems to age slower than normal; as he has barely changed since his emergence despite over 10 years passing.

...The real story, unknown to Felix, is that an aged magic-user of quite some power in the dark arts attempted a spell to prolong his own life. The spell would transfer him to a new, youthful body that was empty of mind, a duplicate of his own body in its younger years. The spell went terribly, terribly wrong, however; instead of copying his mind into the new body, it overwrote his old body with the empty duplicate, creating two of the same. Felix is a younger version of this magic user with no memory of his former life, linked into two bodies. Whether this strange past will one day catch up with him remains to be seen.
