Selma Echeverría

Born in the early 1800s to a ranching family in Alta California, Selma was a vaquera, and a damn talented one at that. Then something happened--something she refuses to speak of, something that involves Charlotte Nightshade. Whatever it was, it was enough to spark an unquenchable fire in her soul. She knew from that moment on she would not rest until Charlotte was dead. No matter the cost.

Being a vampire means that she's nearly immortal (with some limits); as such, she has spent the years since that moment obsessively pursuing her revenge. Despite her tireless efforts, Charlotte always manages to stay one step ahead of her, which means she's angry all the time. She's rough around the edges and crude of speech. She is passionate, proud, and tries to be a good person, but she has a problem with accepting responsibility for her actions.
