Story
Rafiqa was always born a blackhole, as opposed to the majority of the other blackholes within her hometown. Isolated from others since birth, she learned to cope with embroidery and crossstitching which her caretaker had provided. It is also when she had developed her love of colorful clothes and accesories.
Once she was deemed capable enough for the outside world, she was then allowed to be with her peers. Though she didn't have many friends outside of blackholes because of the stigma surrounding them. Realising this, she wants to lessen the impression that blackholes are vile creatures.
At first, she band together blackholes that has an interest in fashion to. The community was created as a safe space for them and share their love of beautiful dresses. Overtime, the community grew bigger but still hadn't hit the mainstream crowd. That is until Rafiqa started a trend of "the void's beauty" where blackholes wear cute and colorful dresses. Combating the idea that blackholes are scary. This is also where she had found her brand, Everdream. She has no interest in money so the brand was not a competitive one. After all, the brand's concept is to inspire celestials that everyone can be as beautiful as their sweetest dream.
The subculture started to rose in popularity. A lot of celestials (including non-blackholes) started to take interest in it. The community was very welcoming to everyone. But that doesn't mean there were no backlash. Things like "Why is it only for blackholes? How divisive" "Are they implying blackhole can't be cute?" or "Are you sure this isn't a wolf in sheep's clothing" and their varieties are common criticism towards them. Though it did not stop the subculture from rising nor was it stopping Rafiqa to share her joy towards fashion. She had learned to maintain a peaceful attitude even in troublesome situations. Surpressing her other emotions. Unbeknownst to Rafiqa, it would make her null of emotions.
As the movement grows, Rafiqa and the other founders received news coverage, and well, some unpleasant stuff. It varies from hatemail to harassment. She even has received unkind words from interviewers and hosts. Though what's surprising is through all of these, she didn't react negatively to this. She kept calm instead. She wasn't angered or sad in the least. Rather, she countered them with serenity and words like morning dew. Because of her extreme patient, she had gathered respects from many celestials. Though the hate still continued, the love and interests outweights it to the point where her subculture and brand is known across the world. The news has even reached through the rulers of each cluster.
before it boomed, when it peaked and after the trend died, Rafiqa never stopped being generous. Then again, her goal wasn't money or popularity. years and years, only one thing changed within her. That is her passion. She's still managing things the way she used to be but she realised it' getting harder to feel... Anything. Hell, she doesn't know what to do about it. She's just, numb. Rafiqa hasn't told anyone about it yet. Her instinct tells her to keep it a secret, and mask it with her "cheerfulness".
Still, Rafiqa hopes to find something that can help her return to her former self. She doesn't want to be aimless forever. So she starts on her personal journey of self-discovery.
