Universal Backstory
Langley is a Kobold Monk who upon setting off from her pack at adolescence, chose to live among mankind out of her deep curiosity for them. Despite being a relatively clumsy sort, Langley sought to master the martial arts upon meeting a dragonborn meditating and honed herself in the ways of being a monk. She prides on being incredibly versed in traditional wisdom despite her lack of academic and material intelligence, and... appropriate social tact.
The Echo After
Langley, soon after leaving her pack stumbles upon a group of adventurers on a mission to deliver a missive to a neighboring nation announcing the selection made for the future ruler of the country. After helping them fend off potential assassins, she accompanies them to their destination and meets her future mentor in the town they arrive in.
Verminspring
After studying with her mentor in order to learn the basics of martial arts, Langley is called to action when a scholar approaches her and a number of others warning of a horrible infestation of parasites coming from another dimensional plane. She joins this group and seeks out the 'Breaking Points' where the creatures seek to enter her world, assisting in defeating the wardens of the storm and learning of the plights that exist in her world from the people she meets along the way, affirming her own curiosity in humanity as well as the origins of the otherworldly beings she fights against. After traveling to the parasites dimension, Langley assists in killing their queen and single-handedly defeats her most loyal steward. She returns to her reality a hero and sets the foundations for Kobolds to be accepted as regular members of society.
Plague Walkers
Largely out of action, Langley joins an Adventurer's Guild in a far-away region along with her mentor and provides mentorship herself to a group of new adventurers that join the guild all the while getting into antics with her fellow new guildmates. Things change however when her mentor is killed in a plot of a mysterious cult to bring the moon crashing down to earth. Ongoing.
