Ebott has always felt an affection for and interest in otherworldly beings and animals, and they often bring injured magical beasts and fae to their day job in wildlife rehabilitation to try and help them in secret. They have learned a lot in this process, and the help of the fae has significantly increased their skill at magic. They were originally taught only offensive magic, because that is what people in their family was best at. Wynette specialized in defensive and healing magic, and taught Ebott what she knows, but they never had an aptitude for it before working with beasts and fae.
Ebott currently finds themself in a small, seaside village, the next in line of a string of villages where the population has mysteriously dwindled to zero. They have been investigating, and all the signs lead to The Church of The Leviathan, a travelling religious organization recruiting new members to worship The Grand Leviathans.
Ebott becomes involved with the siblings leading the cult, where he grows romantically attached to it's defiant heir, Levi, who leaves the church with them after revealing that they made a fake religion to feed thousands of people to their parents, who are giant ancient sea serpents.
Levi's brother, Luciel becomes next in line to lead the cult after Levi's disappearance. He vows revenge on Ebott for stealing away his brother, and Ebott vows to kill Luciel and his parents to stop the mass murder in their wake, and to protect Levi as they experience society outside of their family for the first time.
