Cyrus (Cy)

Story

Despite him being a master of oversharing, not many people know of Cyrus’s origins. There are many stories and rumors, however. Some people say he used to be a caterpillar before some wayward magic caused him to undergo a much more drastic metamorphosis. Others claim he’s a robot created by a lonely scientist. The most widely accepted theory is that he was dropped on his head as a hatchling, though. Cy has yet to prove (or disprove) these theories, as he is uncharacteristically quiet when it comes to his past. He drops hints occasionally, but they are so vague that people are left to wonder if he even knows.

People do know that he loves music. His antennae can clearly pick up most radio signals, so he always tunes in to his favorites when he’s out flying. Sometimes he’ll go so far as to hijack stations to surprise listeners with songs that they were definitely not expecting. Or wanting. It’s quite a nuisance, honestly. Either way, the telepaths are sick of him.

He never sleeps, it seems, much to the annoyance of his neighbors. He hosts parties practically every other day and somehow never runs out of energy to entertain guests with (though to be fair, there have been reports of him plugging his tail into lonely outlets and subsequently causing a blackout or two). He earns enough to scrape by through odd jobs around the neighborhood, and by charging for some of his bigger events. Unsurprisingly, he’s quite decent at making his own music, and has been invited to perform at many of the area’s local venues.
