Fintan is very blunt and always says what's on his mind. He's a jerk. He's very judgmental, and always suspects the worst in people. He refuses to help anyone out unless they're paying him or it would benefit him in some other way, it's every man for himself as far as he's concerned. Not surprisingly, he doesn't have any friends. He prefers being on his own, and he intentionally tries to keep people away from him. Though if he actually tried to make friends, he'd probably be terrible at it anyway.
Fintan is an Echo Knight fighter, but because of his aversion toward magic, he only uses this ability as a last resort and avoids telling people he can use it.
Fintan travels from town to town in search of jobs, mainly working as a bounty hunter and sleeping in the wilderness rather than at any kind of inn, and if he can't afford something, he'll probably just steal it.

Fintan was born in Raerin in the Kingdom of Wendrid to a family of avid magic users. The whole village was big on magic, and as a kid, Fintan loved magic. When Fintan was 8, he was out in the forest surrounding the village attempting to recreate one of the spells he'd seen his mom use when a couple strangers approached him. The strangers asked if there were more magic users in his village and which direction the village was. Thinking they were just interested in magic like him, Fintan pointed them in the direction of Raerin. Eventually Fintan returned to find his village in shambles and most of the people dead, including his parents and younger sister. As he later found out, the strangers he met in the forest were members of a large Witefall army searching for more land to conquer. Besides Fintan, there were only a few survivors, a small hand-full of non-magic users. They journeyed to Corfeild in search of a new home. Fintan never really felt at home there, so once he was old enough, he left and went off on his own.
Adult Life
After what happened to his family and village, Fintan completely abandoned magic and began learning how to use various weapons to protect himself. He believes that if only he hadn't loved magic, if only he hadn't been practicing that spell out in the forest that day, his family wouldn't be dead. He never wants to be close anyone ever again out of fear that he'd lose them, so he keeps to himself, wandering around from place to place in search of jobs.
