Flo is a very shy person with low self esteem due to their hearing aids which makes them embarrassed. Since they communicate only using sign language they aren't good in expressing and reading someones emotions. They often exaggerate, overthink or completely misunderstand someonse intentions. Because they had bad experience with meeting new people they decided to be careful and pick the right people to talk to. If they do care about someone they are very loyal, wholesome and open. They are always there to help and make people laugh.
Florence was born as a middle child in a very loving family. When they started to grow up as a toddler their parents realized that they still didn't learn to talk. It quickly turned out that Flo is going to be entirely mute because of several abnormalities in his larynx. Later during their school years it turned out they are also slowly loosing hearing. Their parents were very supportive and immediately did everything they could, bought them a hearing aid and taught them sign language since their early days. Florence used to be bullied at school because of being mute, this way they didn't gain much friends in real life. They quickly ran away to the internet where they could hide the fact that threy can't speak or hear. He became popular thanks to his drawing skills, TikTok dances and making his own fursuit. Thanks to that he began taking comissions from people all over the world. Sadly, bullying in school, not being able to express himself and loneliness led to developing mental health issues and depression.
Flo and Oliver met in a mental hospital where they both had to stay due to their serious mental issues. At first Florence was afraid of getting to know him cause they has bad experiences with people who bullied them after fidning out they can't speak. Luckily it turned out that Oliver is a very shy person and is not a fan of talking out loud anyway. Thanks to that they quickly became friends communicating by writing and drawing on a piece paper for the entire day. When they both left the hospital they continued to text each other and decided to meet again. Their relationship is purely platonic and very innocent, they mostly just do their favourite things together and they limit physical contact to hugs, holding hands and occasional soft kisses. Lately they moved in together and started more independent life
Florence and Luka met on the internet, Luka has been comissioning Flo for some time, during one of the interactions Flo disclosed that their commissions are open due to a surgery they have to afford. This way they learned that they are both disabled and spend a lot of time in hospitals and doctors offices. This way they both started supporting each other in their health journeys. Luka quickly became Flos only friend he had in a long time, he would love to travel to see him one day. They both share same interests like drawing, fursuits and overall furry fandom.
Flo and Filip met on university. Filip is a blind person, while Florence is mute so they quickly started to hang out together and support each other in their disabilities. To communicate Flo uses text to speech option on his phone. Lately they moved in together with Oliver and Filips boyfriend Zoran and hang out together all the time.
