Iris Mustang

Iris Mustang was part of a traveling group of Mustangs that explore the lands of Equestria and beyond, always moving.  During one stop, she met another member of her group, Flint Mustang, and the two would fall in love.  The two would settle down in a small farming town that wasn't very big, but had fields that produced the best Potatoes ever in Equestria.  Knowing they could help, she and her husband would build a Boarding House to help workers who needed a home.  Eventually, the town grew bigger and the Boarding House became a symbol of their success.

However, the success soon turned to terror when Iris came down with a mysterious illness with no known cure that rendered her body weak.  On top of that, she was also pregnant with a child and there was concern about the health of this child.  Fortunately, that child turned out to be healthy and happy, and would name their child "Maximillian".  Over the years, she would try her best to keep her son happy and healthy, even though he would constantly be bullied for his female like muzzle.  Despite her son being accepted to train with the Royal Knights, meaning she would not see him for many years, she was not concerned or sad, for she wanted him to follow his heart and his dreams.  Before the next time she would see her son again, she would give birth to another healthy child, a young filly named "Hope".

Iris is a very kind and caring pony, who is not likely to raise their voice.  She enjoys her simple life living in the boarding house at Green Hills with her husband.  Despite her illness, she is still often getting involved in some events, especially ones that tend to gardens and to cooking/baking events.  Many ponies see a special kind of magic in her that would make anyone smile. Max would always love and support his mother... as long as she's not playing matchmaker and telling him the joys of seeing him and another mare (usually Twilight Sparkle) as a couple, which often embarrasses him.
