"So you're saying we accidentally brought a non-Guardian along?!"

-Awoken Hunter
-calls her ghost Lost Light (hehehe)
-uses mantras to calm herself when in battle, usually murmurs about the Light protecting her
-uncanny valley! tries to fit in but CLEARLY doesn’t; very twitchy and unstable-acting. moves like the Taken
-most attuned to the Void subclass--in this case, Nightstalker, and the Way of the Wraith--than any other and she's really insecure and scared about it.
-frequently followed by a white-and-blue figure. nobody knows what it is, not even Ion, but she seems a lot more comfortable with it around so that's a plus.

She views The Light and, by extension, The Traveler with more reverence than most, perhaps to the point of worship. Her attunement to the Void subclass scares her; she's heard the tales and, though she knows her fear is irrational, is worried nonetheless she might end up corrupted by it. She's fully aware the Void is different from the Darkness, but that doesn't soothe her worries one bit. Lately she’s been turning to The Drifter for advice since the Hunter Vanguard—Cayde-6–was killed in action long before she ever came into the picture. The Drifter’s not exactly the best influence on her what with his whole wielding-the-Darkness schtick, and he has been trying to get her to loosen up a bit in regards to that, but for the most part they’re buds. She sees a bit more into him than most would, recognizing his good intentions.

Sometimes when she gets too, too worried, her Light kind of goes out of control and her Ghost needs to function as a sort of power limiter. Any excess Light is siphoned into her Ghost.

She despises those she views as stuck in the past. This does not extend to those who use old weapons; rather, it applies to those who dwell on memories when they have other things to do.

Her fireteam was not prepared for the Pyramid's tricks. Sure, they'd studied and trained, but even Guardians can be caught off guard sometimes. By the time they realized something was wrong, the doors had slammed shut behind them and given them no choice but to continue onward. It took a regrettably long while for them to realize the corridors were looping.

By the time they had been freed from the Pyramid's clutches, all three had been irreversibly changed. Ion had been affected the worst of the lot, since she had the furthest to fall. With her recently-shaken faith in the Traveler and the Light now essentially shattered, she had nothing left to support herself. The only people that could possibly relate to her plight--the other two members of her fireteam--were affected as well, so there was no one with experience to draw from. In some ways, she has grown even more fanatical--her hatred of the Taken, for instance, has escalated, but at least she's far more accepting of opposing viewpoints now that her own worldview has been shattered.

She's an avid supporter of the Tower, though, and still uses the powers the Light bestowed upon her, but she does not thank the Light anymore. It simply.. exists, to her.
