Jaime is a geeky control freak with a heart of gold. She works very hard at everything she does and tends to burn herself out rather easily. She loves science, math, and science fiction and it takes 2 seconds of knowing her to learn the first two and about 10 months to learn the last. She opens up to people slowly but once you're close, she's a very selfless, loyal and dedicated friend. Although, also maybe a bit overbearing and she might try to micromanage you a little (or a lot) but it's just because she cares. She's been taking care of her little sister, Rayne, since she was teenager and does her best to balance all the many aspects of her life. But at this point, that balance is hanging by a thread and any hitch could send her off the edge.

Backstory
Jaime was born to a big family in a little coastal town in the North West US. She has in total, 6 sisters and is somewhere in the middle. Her family was weird but both parents were loving and worked hard to make sure everyone was well taken care of. She was always closest with her Dad, which is where she got her love of Star Trek and insatiable curiosity for how the world works. Her mom never seemed to really understand her, but she tried.
Present Day
Now she works as a laboratory assistant at the local university. Thanks to a combined effort of scholarships, work, and family donations (they at least owe her money if they won't come down and physically help her) she is able to give Rayne and herself a comfortable life. However, there are and always have been forces outside of her control and understanding going on with her family and it's all about to come to a head.
