- He acts very goofy and playful to try to appear as "innocent" and plays this part well but the second someone crosses him he has no problem becoming merciless.
- The older syndicate members tell stories about what's under his eye patch to try to scare the newer and younger members. Only a small handful of members really knows what's under it.
- Maverick is surprisingly good with children (except Milan) but he won't hesitate to use one for leverage (in a way so that the child doesn't know but he is an obvious threat to any adults).
- The cane is mainly for show but he does have a slight limp in his right leg. But the cane also doubles as a blade.
About
The mystery of how Maverick was able to become the mayor and take over, despite not being elected, is a hot topic in the city. However, anyone who goes digging ends up disappearing or worse. In reality, he is the current merciless leader of The Syndicate, which uses the mayor's office as a way to hide from the public in plain sight. He gives off a playful and friendly air but some can tell something about him seems extremely off. In truth, he's quite vicious and his talents lie in assassination. He is sarcastic, snarky and overall very odd but scary nonetheless. People often make up absurd stories and speculate about what's under his eyepatch but he only takes it off when he sleeps.
Maverick grew up in the slums of a city, learning the unfairness of life at an early age. He never knew his mother and his father was physically abusive. He was deemed "useless" to his father and sent off to an academy under the mentorship of an evil man named Jakov who trained him how to be ruthless and how to fight. They had a sword fight to the death as his final test and while Maverick won, Jakov's final gift to him was the scar on his lip and his eye injury (along with various other scars on his body). Soon after he graduated, Maverick joined a syndicate available for hire for various nefarious schemes and jobs that he worked his way up to his position as the leader now.
Design
- His chest tattoo is a skull with a dagger sticking out and two crossed knives behind it and through the eyes. He also has a tattoo on his left lower back that stands as the syndicate's logo.
- He has several scars but the most prominent is his lip scar.
- His cane houses a blade inside!
- He wears 3 rings on his left hand! Two on his middle (white and black) and one on his pinky(silver with a sapphire).

"I absolutely adore playing Death......"
Maverick can be a very cold person especially if you're on his bad side. His life was never easy and it shaped him into a man who follows the ideal of "kill or be killed" to an exact science. Because of how he grew up, he actively tries to avoid forming meaningful relationships with anyone. After his friend Quill died (see Quill's tab for more details), he became even more closed off than before operating strictly as a leader. Despite this, he still cares a lot about the people who work for him, he'd kill for any of them. Even though he acts like a cruel person, he is actually very generous and will let anyone stay in the syndicate headquarters who needs a job or help but will actively try to deter them from living a life like he did.
As Maverick, he stays 10 feet away from people emotionally if he can help it. He hates getting children involved in any situation because he knows they are innocent collatoral and their minds are fragile. But towards those who would dare to harm his syndicate family, he's like satan reincarnated. He can be ruthless and has no regrets about it. People see him as a monster which he's glad to accept. As Mayor Avilogia, he is a charming young mayor who gets what he says done. Many people in the public adore him, not knowing about his role in the dark world of assassination and death. He's good at talking, intelligent and good looking so people often look to him for guidance. Though some are suspicious of his perfect persona...

Blade Technique
He's especially skilled with blades because of his training. He can use pretty much any blade but he prefers the one inside his cane as it was built to his specifications and it's always on him.
Adaption
Maverick has the ability to adapt to any situation he finds himself in. If his blade gets knocked away, he can find another weapon and use it easily even if that weapon happens to be something unconventional. He can easily get a layout of rooms within minutes of being in them and can adapt to dangerous situations using his surroundings.
Manipulation
He is really good at making people believe things that aren't inherently true and uses his position as both the mayor and syndicate leader to maniulate others to do his bidding.

J.G Pharmaceutical
A small clinic run by Judge Ganbe (J.G) that supplies medicine to the local people. He has a secret room where he treats (and hides) Syndicate members occasionally as well. He supplies needed check-ups, medicine and medical advice to Syndicate members in exchange for protection of his family and clinic. He's a stubborn man who trusts the Syndicate to keep his family safe so he will never betray them. He'd be tortured to death before he would even slip their name. Trust: 10/10
Shipley's Shipped Goods
A small organization run by a man known as Shipley. Metro works through him in order to supply the Syndicate with supplies and ammunition they might need. He only has about ten smugglers and most of them are young kids and women. Shipley and Maverick are good friends and often trade information, smuggling routes and laughs over drinks. People often mistake Shipley for a teenager himself despite him being almost thirty. Trust: 9/10
Razzia (cleanup in Hungarian)
They are a group that cleans up crime scenes for the Syndicate and other groups. They aren't really biased and just do their jobs without asking for details. They are usually called to cleanup Kaz's messes and they even developed a code for his specific destruction. Their leader is a fierce woman named Raphaela who runs a tight ship to keep her customers satisfied. Though her and Maverick don't get along personally, they get along very well professionally and hire each other frequently. Trust: 9/10

Quill
Friend(?)
The son of a political figure and the only person Maverick has ever called a friend, the two of them were inseperable at the academy (mainly due to Quill following Maverick like a shadow). Quill decided to continue to follow Maverick and joined the Syndicate. He made up his mind that he wanted to live free from political clutches, tell Maverick his feelings he had developed and live the rest of his life as a stargazer. Unfortunately his dream was short lived after he and two other Syndicate members were ambushed and violently murdered. He never got to fulfill his dreams which haunts Maverick every day.
Kipskey (Kip)
Subordinate
Kip's mother worked with the Syndicate for many years but quit when she got pregnant with Kip. His mom, who got ill after he was born, put him through vigorous, strict training to become an assassin. He demonstrated his skills to Jude who was intrigued by the idea of a child becoming an assassin and hired him, much to his mother's approval. He kept to himself, until he saw Maverick training one day, and was in awe at his skills. He followed him around and revered him much to Maverick's annoyance. Kip still admires him but, now that he's older, he questions the morality of the syndicate. His mother died soon after he turned sixteen and he continues his life as an assassin in the Syndicate while attending school to appear normal.
Jakov
Mentor
Maverick's deceased former mentor. Lovingly dubbed "Jackoff" by Maverick. He was an extremely vile man with no mercy when it came to weakness. Though he acted like he hated everyone, Maverick was his favorite student and he loved him like a son (despite neglecting his own "worthless" son, Lyovkov). He gave Maverick his eye and lip injury in their final battle to the death where Jakov lost his life. His behavior led to his son, Lyovkov, hating Maverick despite working in the same syndicate.
