Daikon Bear is a popular fictional character in this universe who frequently shows up on clothes, a movie and an anime series.

Daikon Bear was originally made in the 90's as a manga in Japan.
She is a miniature bear the size of a basic, tall cup and in this manga is kept as a pet by a small family of 3 (father, mother, daughter) for a while.
This family found her in bad shape at the side of the road in the rain. They take her with them to the city and patch her up at their small apartment.
Daikon Bear gets better and soon reveals she is not JUST a miniature bear, but a kami of sorts (kami are spirits/gods in shinto beliefs). Daikon Bear discovers new things she loves in this (like daikons and travel brochures) and the family has to deal with her whimsical kami tricks and problems. Eventually though, Daikon Bear becomes homesick and longs for her home in a tiny shrine. The family brings their little kami back to where they found her along the country side with a heavy heart and return to the city. Weeks after this goodbye they notice how they miss Daikon Bear's shenanigans and how this goodbye affected their kid and ultimately decide to live along the country side as well near Daikon Bear's shrine. There they reunite with Daikon Bear and various other tiny bears who live around Daikon Bear in other shrines.

in the 2000's Daikon Bear's story got animated into movie format and immediately became a fan favourite world wide. in recent years Daikon Bear also got an anime series for children about the silly adventures she and her neighbouring mini bears have in the forest.

Online, Daikon Bear is often used as an icon for cottagecore and other humble life aesthetics.
