Aggie

Aggie is the bastard son of the noble elven family of Anchorstone. His parents kept him despite his heritage, intending to take the secret to their grave, but Aggie's genetics had different plans. While he looked passably elven and enough like his family as a child, Aggie's tiefling genes activated when he hit puberty and he effectively 'turned into' a tief through his teenage years. Around 17 years old his family made the tough decision to performatively kick him out to save face and keep their bloodline safe.

While Aggie is still legally a part of the Anchorstone family, he doesn't contact them or visit (and lives fairly far away anyhow). He currently lives on the outskirts of the woods beside a little podunk town trying to mind his own business. He enjoys gardening quite a bit as his main hobby, but is also a curious tinkerer and likes to make little gadgets when he can find the materials. His family sends him gifts sometimes, but he never replies; whether to keep up the charade or by choice he won't say. His home and wardrobe are both sprinkled with suspiciously fancy odds and ends, and the village he lives near throws around wild theories about his origins.

Unfortunately for Aggie, peace and quiet was never gonna be that easy. He encounters a young criminal by the name of Romeo and gets roped into a heist on threat of being arrested as their accomplice - and it all goes downhill from there. Strangely, despite Romeo's obvious distaste for Aggie's company and disinterest in making even the barest of friends with him, they dog his footsteps after their sting is complete, aggressively trying to convince him to come along with them for "adventures." Aggie wants no part in anything that doesn't involve staying home with his garden, but alas, fate has other plans: although Romeo doesn't let on, Aggie's personal circumstances align suspiciously well with a prophecy supposedly starring Romeo - and they aren't about to let him off the hook for it, especially if it means sticking it to the cult that raised them.

Aggie can be a bit abrasive out of self-defense and acts like an asshole to newcomers, but he's actually pretty sweet and would really rather talk to you about his vegetable garden. He harbors a lot of self-loathing and hurt that he's trying to forget about and doesn't really want to get close with anyone besides superficial niceties so they don't pry. It's easier said than done since he is really rather personable, and finds being a role-model for the village children amusing and heart-warming.
