once a great pirate captain, rye was overtaken by his werebeast curse and attacked his crew during a storm. the ship sank, and he found himself washed up on a small tropical island that he now calls home. living as a marooned beast, he loves to swim, fish, and eat berries.
his curse affects him every full moon like any regular were-thing, but can also be brought out in small spurts from competitiveness, anger, or giddiness. he's lived with it for countless years now, after a sea spirit found him drowning - a second chance at life, but haunted by a beast forever..!
