Mayu is incredibly shy, to the point of actually being afraid of other people, and, really, most things in general. She was born and raised in Neovia, but moved as soon as she was old enough to live on her own, because the spooky atmosphere was just too much for her, despite being the only thing she had ever knew.
She's very gentle and soft-spoken, and actually very kind, but because of how hesitant she is to converse and spend time with others, she comes off as aloof and standoffish to other people, and therefore has very few friends. She honestly doesn't mind too much though, as she prefers the company of the various small animals she cares for, anyways.
She's highly creative, and has an eye for fashion, but lacks near enough confidence to ever put her designs or ensembles out there. She values taking creative, imaginative approaches to situations, and is quick to notice anything new or different about something.
Mayu is also still very pragmatic, however; She tends to fall under stress very easily if her work piles up and she feels that she has no time to deal with it all, so she tends to be a work-first-play-later kind of person.

Mayu has dusty tan fur with a dull, dark brown tail, legs, hands / paws, ears, and big circular eyebrows. She has lace-like markings where the brown and tan fur meet, as well as below her big, crimson eyes.
Her most frequently worn accessories are a necklace with a red jewel that almost seems to glow, a hairpiece with many flowers (including dark crimson and black roses, red poppies, striped carnations, and others) worn above her left ear, and a matching corsage worn around her right wrist.

Trivia
- She's an amateur lepidopterist, and hopes to get into it as a serious profession one day
- She also has an interest in fashion, and enjoys sketching out outfit designs and putting together outfits herself, but doesn't wish to pursue it as a career
- She sniffles and / or pulls at her long ears when nervous
- She has a bad habit of chewing things - pencils, her sleeves, anything. She usually won't realize she's doing it
- She owns a variety of household plants and flowers, and loves to take care of them and talk and sing to them
- She can be a bit spacey sometimes, she'll get lost in thought and just zone out for a bit
- She's named after Mayu Amakura from Fatal Frame II, and her design is largely inspired by the character and / or game (her lace markings, butterflies, dull brown color scheme with pops of bright red, and the flowers in her accessories have meanings in flower language that I feel relate to the game / character). But despite all this, she's not intended to be a full recreation of the character.
Relationships
Kadife's best friend and boss. Kadife is very attached to her, and therefore is perhaps a bit more willing to put up with Evzy's teasing and occasional bad attitude than she should be.
