Profile

The bladeedge vyrm is an uncommon sight in the wild, generating only in places with at least one large mirror wherein some form of intense violence, be it accidental or deliberate, has occurred in the past five years. They are even rarer in captivity due to their notoriously high-strung and violent nature, and the sheer sharpness of their large claws and the many shards of mirrored glass poking through their skin. Very few vyrmseers, even tamers, are confident enough in their abilities to attempt to handle this unpredictable and dangerous species.

The bladeedge vyrm has no proximal effects, but recieving a cut from one induces a selection of unusual symptoms. The body will have noticeable difficulty closing the wound, causing it to continue slowly bleeding for a while longer than a cut of its size normally would. This is only rarely enough to cause symptoms associated with blood loss, but one may have to go through many bandages or wraps. Alongside this continuous bleeding, the vyrmseer will develop a low fever, may notice an unusual amount of mood-swings and irritability, and- most notably- will find themselves much more likely to leap to violence than they otherwise would be.
