Born and raised on Scala ad Caelum, Ignotus was one of those who chose to wander the worlds after attaining mastery, seeking to further his knowledge on the worlds and the darkness that threatens them. He returned after five years a changed man; once rigid and rule-abiding, now laid-back and snarky. It's commonly joked that his travels not only loosened him up, but gave him a sense of humor to boot. Not long after his return, he was called before the Council of Masters and assigned a class of newly-chosen keybearers to train, much to his consternation. Due to the numbers not adding up, that class only numbered six, at least until Eraqus nearly killed himself taking Ignotus's Star Shard out on a joyride and was rescued by Xino. While initially reluctant to take on this assignment, Ignotus has come to love each and every one of his apprentices, and will move heaven and earth to keep them safe.
